It was even at a camera shop. I actually traded in around $400 worth of gear for it. I otherwise wouldn't have bought it, but because it was such a good deal I just HAD to get it, thankful it did because the lowest one I seen was $600AUD at the time
I'm currently planning on the R10 and saving up for that. Still in the planning stage for lenses. The R10 can come with an 18-150. But I was considering getting just the body and then getting the 16mm rf 2.8 and the 50mm rf 1.8. If I wait a bit though, Sigma is coming out with an RF lens sometime this year that might also be good. Sigma 18-50 f2.8. One use will be as a webcam at a desk to film about 3 to 4 feet from the miniature at 4k, then crop it to 1080 for OBS for twitch with a 2x digital zoom and be comfortable to paint. It needs to have a decent depth of field where it will stay in focus moving in my hands. The other side is to be able to do astrophotography, nature and wildlife, some birding in the back yard and general starting stuff. For my use, the 1.6 crop sensor zoom won't be a bad thing at least for the filming.
Good plan, Sigma releasing those lenses for the aps-c Rf mounts are a gamechanger for so many users of those cameras, I hope to see some for the FF cameras in the near future. Good luck with it all!
I bought a Canon crop sensor 77d for my first camera. I was so disappointed when I discovered I had to multiply my lens size and aperture by 1.6 to get the actual values. I started saving immediately for a full frame and love my R8 but I wish I could have skipped the crop sensor step.
It’s definitely something you need to be aware of. In saying that lots of pros use crop sensor cameras and at the moment I’m looking for one, I forgot to add that I had a phase of wanting the biggest camera set up possible but now I’m the complete opposite. The only actual thing that annoys me with crop sensors is the focal lengths, I shoot mostly at f5.6 and up for my hobby side of things so aperture isn’t a big issue with me, it used to be when all I wanted was bokeh but I have grown from that.
Nice pov mate...yea I understand life just happens love the mundane or fundane how u say it .getting some Kodak gold vibes with them edits..keep safe now saw your video on my feed this morning cheers bro
Mundane and shit photos. I appreciate your honesty though I am not sure how that will bring in viewers. Anyway sorry about my 2 cent opinion, i do enjoy your channel though.
I have an R8 which has limited controls compared to the R6 so I love having the control ring set for aperture. I think it is great innovation, it is there if you want to use it and it doesn’t get in the way if you dont use it. Anyway love your pov street videos.
You can definitely do that, I don’t have a high res sensor but I don’t particularly need or want one, I like the image file sizes and the cost of the R6.
Good to see your photography process and the POV with the voice over is something I want to try sometime. I've added your channel, always good to connect with other photography creators. 📸
Thank you! In cases like this video I don’t find the AF loud at all but in quiet environments it can be loud. The noise doesn’t really bother me anyway but if I was to be shooting video with it I’d probably get annoyed by it.
Hey mate, little update. I just released my presets, haven't promoted it yet but if you look in the description you should find the link to them. I'm keeping them on sale for a little bit so get in there quick!
@demiqshots I want to clarify that I was not exaggerating. I've shot street photography, and it's super awkward to pull up the camera to someone's face, let alone getting any bangers. You are so confident and you know what you're looking for. However, I feel what you day. Sometimes, it just doesn't click the way it should. Keep on creating content! You have a unique style🤩
@@itsmahdisadeghi thanks mate! I have a bit of anxiety and sometimes it feels like “work”, and when it does feel like that I don’t initially enjoy it but then I see the photos in the end and I’m like “wait, I shot THAT?”. It’s still awkward for me too! I just do it and hope for the best, I’m starting to get better at being sneaky though so I can take more risky/intimate shots. But it’s not all about being close, if you can’t overcome taking photos of people up close find a different style! Focus on lighting and leading lines more like Roman Fox, I wish I could take photos like him and sometimes I do but I don’t normally have the eye for that style often unless the conditions are perfect! Keep sticking to it and you’ll start to care a little less but that depends on what country you’re from and how people react at being photographed, where I live people don’t care that much because it’s a very touristy place but in other parts they’d probably wanna fight me haha
Great video m8! I really love the idea here! Just taking a trip somewhere to take pictures and vlogging the experience. Also I really love the street view photos as well. There is just something about them that comes off as super surreal and mysterious and I love that.
