He said this list would be it if you took off the extreme late season... What would you add for extreme late season cold temperatures of say Alberta Canada mountain conditions?
I've accidentally sprayed myself with this stuff and it is HORRIBLE!!!!! Just a super tiny amount sent a massive burning sensation on my thigh that took at least a half hour of flushing with using everything I could think of. I think it just finally wore away but MAN, what a pain!! I cant imagine on my face or inhaling it like a bear, coyote, viscous dog or what ever else is running up to you. At least the bear would live .Great stuff.
The “always be tinkering” guy doesn’t even wear Sitka. Everyone has a boner for magnets in the bino harness. Why? I like the looks of the harness, Sitka makes awesome stuff. Maybe a “no mag” version in the future?
Help im very new to trail cam, i have the 26 mega,so i cant figure out how to take videos, can you help me,an also i don't even know it haves audio or not
I own and wear a lot of Sitka gear. My main issue is that most of their tops have hoods. I really only need my outer layer to have the hood. Lightweight core (hood), Kelvin lite (hood), Jetstream (hood)....all of the sudden I have three hoods to deal with. Kind of lame.
Will the aerolite jacket keep me warm just by its own in temeperaturs around 40 degrees? Or dou you know a good somewhat waterproof and and wind resistant jacket(outer layer) which would keep one warm by its own in temperaturs between 30 and 40 degrees?
Once your a real hunter. Like pulling game from public land. 1000s of dollars in clothes is a special kind of stupid. If you think any scent blocker works, your a special kind of stupid. Scent weighs a min. Of 750 nanograms. The clothes, soaps and clothing are just wasting money. Save money Walmart and a can of waterproofing.
I rate SG products highly, however this bino harness seems fairly average in design. Buckle adjustments seem poor, and velcro on a bino harness ! Come on now, how loud would that be ? Too much goin on and not simple enough in my opinion.
I'm a sitka guy and have full whitetail and western hunting gear setups. I love their products, but they really need something similar to the Kuiu Attack. In terms of features, durability, colors, side zippers and the price of the Attack they're pretty hard to beat for backcountry style hunters that need to shed heat on longer hikes. I hunted Idaho last year and wound up taking my Stone Glacier DeHavilland Lite pants as well as a pair of Timberlines for the colder days in the forecast. I would actually take the Timberline or Mountain pant with side vents and wear it most of the year.
That sure is a nice lookin' boot. Personally, I would use them to go on hikes if the 2.9lbs is for both boots combined. I live in Northwest Indiana, so it's too cold here for them to be my hunting boots. How far up the boots are they waterproof? I sometimes have to cross small creeks and the occasional swampy area. So, I need something that is waterproof to at least above the ankle bone. Thanks for bringing these to our attention.
Not sure why everyone gets a stiffy talking about the preset 13/16 centershot.... Bro it takes like 10 seconds to set, and you're probably going to move it during a tune anyways lol That being said, i just ordered and epsilon after my QAD ultrarest started failing. should be here by the weekend, cant wait
The one thing that stood out to me was the location of the buckles on the shoulder straps. I realize that will be different depend on the wearer, but in his case, if he's wearing a full pack over the harness, it will be grinding the buckles into this traps. Depending on the weight of the pack, that could get pretty uncomfortable.
