I just bought a Ruger American Gen 2 in 22 ARC, in my opinion the Gen 2 has the roughest crappiest extractor on the planet, this guy said smooth action hahaha ... NOT !!!!
Very impressive and thank you for the detailed tour. I can see why my 1894CSBL 357 is so beautifully assembled. The fit and finish is outstanding and I am so proud to own it and glad I chose Marlin.
funny thing is mine has the accuracy of me and a slingshot. at 200 yards good luck. i dont shoot sling shots by the way . gun smith told me that springfield is junk and i believe it now. most disappointing 3k ive ever spent. since its fired which is the only way you will ever find out if you will be on target when a deer youve been hunting for years walks out i was chit out of luck getting my money back. its a big f ing scam. stay away from them
Why do so many gun tubers think they need two hands to shoot pocket pistols? They are designed to be fired one-handed, and in a real self-defense situation are most likely to be fired one-handed, so test them for how well they do when so fired. I like that background music with the shooting scenes!
For me, it carries and conceals like a very light mouse gun. but feels and shoots like a subcompact. the only issue I'm having with it is, consistently getting the slide to lock back. And no, I'm not riding the slide. I'll be calling Smith & Wesson tomorrow
Polymer framed, high capacity handguns are fine for the modern competitions based on the thirty shot burst theory. They are not so useful for real life problems or needs.
After watching a dozen RU-vid rave reviews, I purchased one. At initial field strip and cleaning, I was very disappointed to discover the two quality control or design failures, 12 round mag follower and spring assembly/guide rod. The most disturbing issue for me is the amount of grip and force it takes to rack the slide. It has drawn blood on my fingers 3 times. At 200 rounds with 3 different ammo types, it shot flawlessly. It has an excellent grip, feel, and trigger. A green front sight would be better. Thirteen rounds in a 15.3 oz. pocket carry may not get any lighter. Due to the racking issue, I haven’t decided if this will be my pocket carry choice.
Best new gun on the market. No question. Put Smith and Wesson you need take a look at that Magpul Daka utility organizer. It was made for your gun. Retails for under $30 and comes in a couple colors. But Smith and Wesson you need this case in your box.
I’m just a consumer who found the perfect match. No vested interest other than I am as happy as can be with those two products I guarantee your weapon will love the organizer and it will protect it . Loose The cardboard!!!
Ran about two hundred rounds through mine today. Ten round mag didn't lock back a few times and it really didn't like fiocci ammo but federal ran great.
Love mine I just wish they could make the 12 round mag a bit easier to load the final 2 rounds as well as how hard it is to insert it into the gun when its full. You have to smack it hard or squeeze it in with your fingers if you're strong enough. Away from that it's an amazing fire arm.
i hate the new trend of integrated trigger guards, the mil spec 'winter' trigger guard which was easily collapsible with the tip of the bullet had a very practical purpose... not only useful with heavy gloves which some enlarged guards try to address but it allowed for a severely injured hand to still engage it, think of fingers blown away and similar injuries, with a dropped/collapsed guard one can still use the web of the palm or other hand part to pull the trigger and no integrated guard design will allow this... i remember seeing a car15 of a macv sog operator in nam which had a trigger guard that was taped to the grip with electrical tape in a semi-permanent fully open position... that dude was one of the baddest nam legends and i think he had his weapon set up for just that potential scenario, just in case... this is a much more common injury in prolonged combat than most imagine and the old school folks who set the mil spec requirements in the past did so based on actual experience... i can't remember for sure but i think even the lone survivor movie showed that type of a severe hand injury...
Beware! I loaded 5 slugs, the second launched th fiber optic down range and by the fourth the bolt completely broke off from the pump rails. Only shot 25 birdshot rounds before that, otherwise this gun was brand new. Gun is Cheap junk. 0/10 would not buy again.
Hey Kevin, I looked at one of these today at my LGS. Did you get an idea of actual accuracy with this firearm on paper? My wife currently carries a Smith EZ 380 but we are not happy at all with the accuracy of that pistol. Even sandbagged it gets 6”+ groups at 30 ft and they are all over the place. That’s with Federal HST, Speer Lawman, and Win Ranger. She can do much better with her LCP but the capacity isn’t there. I’d love to pick this up if the accuracy potential is better. I might even get one for shorts carry and ditch my LCP.
We didn't do any actual accuracy testing - i.e., groups on paper - but it was extremely easy hitting steel at 7-10 yards, even at speed. At the end of the range session, we went out to 27 yards and got hits as well. Steel targets were approximately 10" circles.
