No because this clearly didn’t happen. Just so happens you have enough drama on the regular to make drama videos. Either you’re not a good business person or you’re making these stories up. You’re basically one of those AI reddit AITA channels but irl
I see his point. He said free, but she insisted on having his contact info. He said free, so why lie and say you wanna give him something, and not follow through? Why not just say thanks ..Dont waste more of his time. He already donated enough of it to you! Smh
You showed your skill and set your value. Do free work to gain other customers (for the portfolio and videos like this [which I hope you're posting this to try to get a rise out of people and get more interactions/reach] to show others what you're capable of). Free clients will almost never turn into paid clients. If you do something for free for someone, consider that a burnt bridge. It's unfortunate, but it's true. I'm a commercial photographer and have been through this. Hope this turns into more paid jobs! 👍
Why wouldn’t you start from the top and have all that falls down pre soak the most damaged place while working you way down towards said area. Seem like it might just work a touch better
I work at a gas station, pressure washing the car wash is fun in comparison to most tasks. Opening shift can be either super chill or super stressful. Closing shift aka preparing for opening shift is always boring, not chill but not very stressful.
I both close and open at my current job, and honestly I feel like there's a balance of jobs that closers should always have to get done, and get done right, otherwise openers can't do all of the things they have to get done before the evening rush. Leaving deposit for the morning is whatever, but leaving floors is annoying.
I worked at a cafeteria for a university, lunch and dinner while we had this one guy come in for breakfast. I'm doing complicated lunches and dinners while he makes pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage. Basics essentially. He would get so pissy if you didn't set out his bacon on a pan, bacon that was already on parchment from the company. I'm doing 20 things for my meals and it's just another task for me to do so he could sit on his ass at 5AM.
Probably because the openers deal with 75% of the customers and the purpose of your shift is to make sure the shop is ready for the bulk of the business. What an immature post to make
Actually I dealt with 90% of the customers and I’ve opened before it’s less demanding than all the procedures closers go through. At the end of the day it’s just an opinionated post…
@@SeaBears_PressureWashing This seems like the exception rather than the rule. I've worked the opening shift and closing shift at a few jobs, and the majority of opening shifts were a larger workload, on top of dealing with customers. The one exception to that was a fast food job, where opening was set up to be easy for the opening staff who were all seniors.
Looks like your surface cleaner may be a bit too big for your machine, my friend. Figure 4½ to 5 inches per gpm output of your machine. So for a 3 gpm machine can handle about a 15 inch wide surface cleaner. 4 gpm machine with a 20 inch surface cleaner. I've heard 4 inch per gpm, but i think that's a bit too conservative of an estimate.
If a price is based on an incorrect premise provided by the customer, then "firm" or not, it can be changed. If not, then just walk away if it's not worth your time.
Hey good job guys. It’s a nice video but if you ask me I would say you could get so much more creative with the job and with the editing. For example: during filming you could include more personalised moments, honestly that part where you did the smiley made me smile. As for the editing, you could edit out parts that you didn’t think were too interesting and slow down some moments you wanted to highlight. The other thing is that you seemed pretty unsure about how to say that your phones battery was low and so on. Technically you didn’t even have to say that, but if you want to that’s fine but just relax, don’t worry it doesn’t have to be perfect anyway. But of course as time goes by you will feel more comfortable and confident in front of the camera and know what you want to say and how. I would also say that I personally find the videos most interesting when the content creater shares stories throughout, but that’s just my personal preference. I know some people like the asmr of the machines and so on, so you just have to choose what your style is and what you want to perfect. All the best to you! God bless ❤
Thank you so much for the feedback! I agree with the personalized moments. I wanted to record more of those into the video but still getting new to being on camera ha. Anyway, I’m taking this feedback and inputting it into my future videos to make them more enjoyable. Thanks again! God Bless
Don't overdo it, but maybe be a little more deliberate with showing the before/after instead of speeding through it. Also, having yourself in the shot made it more confusing. Otherwise, you are doing fine. Keep it up.
You need to figure out how much a gallon of your cleaner covers and then find out how many gallons of water it takea to cover the cleaning for that same size area that the cleaner covers say for example the cleaner covers 100’ of area and cost for example $10 per gallon and it takes you 20 gallons of water for the 100’ area if the water costs $26.00 for 20 gallons at flate rate price then the flat out minimum for the job alone would be $36 just for your costs then you have your labor cost and $10 equipment maintenance fee say you would normally make 10-12 per hour at the highest paying regular job youve had then the absolute bare minimum id charge for a 100’ area if it were to take you 2-3 hours will be $76.00 for the job + tax of course for the given 100’ area example ive used just my opinion though and if you want to be extra nice say for an elderly person veteran or widow or something then you could knock off you labor and just donate your time to them to make the job cheaper for them or maybe tell them you do 1 free job per week for random people and youd like to do theres for free for publicity and because youre recording it for RU-vid maybe even let them or aome of the customers kids help to see what its like to do that kind of job who knows maybe it will inspire others especially modern kids to start their own business cleaning driveways, houses or patios for a living too
I appreciate you taking the time to explain that to me. I’ve never charged like that but will definitely give it a try! I like that idea of doing the free wash for a veteran, elder, or etc. I believe I know a house that I can do this for this week. Thanks again for the feedback!
I used a 2600 psi pressure washer starting out that worked great and did just fine cleaning. This video is about being on a budget and working with what you got. Not everyone can buy a a 4000 psi pressure washer to begin with.
