In several of the videos in this series, the names of the layout files change between the beginning of the video and the end. For example, in this video, item_person.xml is shown at the beginning, while person_one_line.xml is shown at the end. In video 04, add_new_friend.xml becomes add_person_form.xml.
Hello Professor Sluiter! Love your way of teaching and explaining things like it's so easy to do. Is there a part 2 of this video where you show how to display the user in the Jokes table? I am currently learning .NET Core MVC.
You make wonderful videos! 👏 Need some advice: 🙏 I found these words 😅. (behave today finger ski upon boy assault summer exhaust beauty stereo over). What is this? 🤔
@shadsluiter I have been struggling with this for a while and watched a number of videos. This is the first one where I went, "OK! Now I am learning something!" Great job! You mentioned other resources at the end of the tutorial. I can't seem to find them in the description. Any chance of posting them?
What is the point of the challenge? Isn't DTO supposed to be used to SEND some data to front end? It seems to make no sense to try to create/edit/delete sth with DTO, as those actions change the database and there are no items in the database with the additional properties from the DTO model. And the whole purpose of this DTO model is to calculate ShortDescription, Tax, etc. automatically so why would anyone want to edit or create those properties - that makes no sense, unless I got something about DTOs wrong. The only method that it makes sense to convert to DTO is search products.
