We make videos of places where we sojourn and as Wordsworth says "poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings" we too believe in spontaneity and express what we feel at that time, obviously in non-poetical manner 😍😃

@@ValesAndTales as you mention and as it's a Dramatic Monologue then as per one of the characteristics of this genre the narrator should not associated with the poet or the author then I can emphasize that It is by no means possible that Thales and Samuel Johnson are the same person as it would then violate its own characteristic.
@@sayanmajumder8899 good observation Sayan. There are few points to be considered 1. London is not a dramatic monologue in the strictest sense although it has few characteristics of D.M. 2. D.M delves into the in-depth exploration of individual psyche like my last duchess but here the primary focus is social critique 3. Thales does not represent Johnson but Richard Savage, friend of Johnson who left London to travel to Wales. Hope it helps!

Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge. I think we can connect E with S in terms of consumer based society that has driven to the exploitation of natural resources and to climate change. The challenge in my view is how to educate and convince the people and the next generation to reduce consumption and buy goods in a responsible way. Other than that there's a conflict of interest since companies try to incentivize people toward to more consumption in order to increase topline revenue and profit as well.
