Frank is a friend of mine. I met him in 1980 at a college where he was doing a speech to us future printers on the dangers of couterfeiting money. Basically, 1st offense back then was 20 years in prison. I still have his phone number and call him sometimes...lives in the midwest now.
1:40 It's really brilliant. You turn yourself from an obvious young kid, likely homeless, to a mid 20s airline pilot. Who were way more respected and held in esteem than today back then. That's how you get them to cash whatever check you want at any hour. Just sweet talk from there. $1.3 is SO much money back then too. Let alone $4.
I feel like this is the worst summary of the movie ever. It skips the important stuff and goes right to the non important ones. Bro, make better summaries.
Except all of it is bullshit. He got couple hundred bucks off of bad checks, stalked and harassed a flight attendant, squatted at her parents house, stole some money from them and then made up all of this crap. He was in jail for petty crimes most of this movie's timeline. He's a two bit conman, whose only achievement was that anyone actually believed this story.
I'm glad Rian Johnson got his practice in on how to tell a story with this movie so we could get the Knives Out movies. Or just don't let him write the movie.
This literally makes no sense how can joe kill his future self and then live out your life and realize you killed your future self no you already killed him. Meaning is not on a singular timeline and young joe killing himself would not stop old joe since he from a different timeline where he killed his old self
I really don't like this channel very much. I don't like it because it many times it tries to take a brilliant movie and reduce it down to the bare essentials, sort of like a Classic Comic Book. You can't condense these stories down to 6 or 7 minutes. If you try to you have to leave out all of the parts that will cause your emotions to come to the surface and in some cases change your way of thinking about something. Truly good movies are art. These video's are a book report.
He was a chip off Dad's old block. Mom set a bad example, too. Horrible that he wrote his parents up in his book and memorialized them in this way. Sociopath
He fucks his mother! They gloss right over it barely even give you a second to let it sink in. Hell I realized while I was sleeping and woke up with the realization. He fucks his mom and isnhis own father
Oh no, please don't. Please don't send me back to the past with all the knowledge I have now. Please don't let me fix all my mistakes and become unstoppable and perfect oh noooo.
If i remember it correctly that's what young Joe thought or "saw" was going to happen if he didnt do anything, keeping the loop making the kid the rainmaker, so instead he decided to kill himself to save the future.
I think that is a flashback/forward? Of the story IF he didn't kill himself at the end. it's been cut from this video but in the film you see it when Joe realises he can close the loop
