The song brings back bitter memories of my first love. You know, at a time in your life when everything revolves around your mister everything. Got over that one. It took me awhile. Actually I came here after listening to a radio program "How music arrangement and vocal expression create meaning and atmosphere" in which two musicians compared the two versions and concluded similar. Were they trolling the airwaves? Seems you are way too precious to accept comment that is anything other than glowing praise because like all infatuated fans you have an unbalanced view (as I suspected). I am not a Lorraine Ellison fan ... I just listened to both versions and came to an opinion, apparently unacceptable to you.... and oh ... I have a sense of humor too. So far as I can see, it says "Share your thoughts" in the comments box, not "adoration only". Are you a "thought" policeman?

This song, 'When a Man Loves a Woman', and 'Whose Side Area You On' were my favorite tracks off the movie and the album. I can't say I agree with her political views, but she is one Hell of a singer and performer.
