I won't be able to respond to anyone's comments/messages for a while.
If you are looking to download a particular bootleg, try your best at Google.
Specifically type in the
YEAR-MONTH-DAY - LOCATION
into Google. More often than not the boot you are looking for will show up.
The channel and videos will stay up for as long as RU-vid says so. If anything gets removed due to Warner Chappell issues so be it (it has happened before).
Robert sounds good here - excellent version here no doubt. For me personally, it’s the 1977 versions that really were just larger than life itself. Jones used Mellotron still and that made it sound like the Moroccan street band as on the album. Not to mention Bonzo’s larger than life drum fills during the long and drawn out ending. By 1980 it sounds to me like he’s had enough of Zeppelin and drums to more or less to get through the songs.
Even though Robert's voice is obviously busted and fried by this point in LZ's tenure, what he's able to do with what he got in terms of sheer passion and interpretation is amazing. It gives me shivers. He wasn't just a shouter and an oversinger. His timbre was naturally pleasant as well. Also, 4:17 is it just me who felt that Rob was offering this song to his son, Karac, who died some years earlier?
Was stationed in Darmstadt Germany - went to this show - apparently one of their better shows -I remember leaving thinking maybe not,or might have been the skag i bought before the show.
I wish this kind of music would come back. Music now is all digital and people don't even play REAL instruments anymore, even vocals are mixed through a voice pitch processor to keep them on key and "in time." Even live shows have a hidden track playing with them, "buried" in the mix....
