Hopefully I can help you catch more crappie on your next trip. Wether you have just a basic rig with 2d sonar or updated electronics. Thanks for watching and for all the likes and comments. Don’t forget to subscribe and turn on your notifications so you can get the latest videos!
I'm 70 years old got myself a little Jon boat I want to start doing some crappie fishing I think your video is really going to help me I appreciate what you have done
Thanks for the content. This was really helpful. I've been fishing for over a year now and every now and then ill get on the boat with my cousin but he rarely reads his fish finder so im doing research on how to read and fish with it. 👊🏾👊🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎣🎣🐟
Thanks for your video. Absolutely loved it. I just purchased my first bass boat with helix 9 at the console and helix 7 at the bow. Having a hard time understanding the all of it. Thanks for the information on 2D Sonar and how it relates to finding fish. I will get there.
Hi, I just found your channel. You're on the right side of the dam. Chickamauga isn't worth a crap with all this pressure. You'll catch 100 to get 15 keepers, if you catch 15 keepers. It's about over, very few boats are putting in at Dayton right now. That's the first time I can say that since 2015. The attention is turning to Watts Bar since the big tournaments have been stopped in Dayton. You guys need to band together and stop that before you end up like us. Elect politicians that will reject these tournaments. Ask them where they stand before voting. We finally did elect a mayor that is for the people but we now have to recover. I don't think it will ever be the same. I live close to this damn Blue Water Campground and they have a map where you stick pins so all the other damn yankees will know where to go. I'd be glad to tell em where to go! It'll be a little dry for fishing...
Just found your channel and this was the first video I watched. I really appreciate your perspective. I bought my "dream boat" a year ago. It came with 2 Helix 7s. The console has mega side and down imaging. I'm really pouring myself into trying to learn and perfect what I have. At this point I don't know if I'll ever go the live scope route or not. Mainly because I don't want all that stuff on my bow. If I can figure out how to locate and catch crappie using what I have and learning from people like you, then I'll be satisfied. I just sub'd. Take care!
Casting your lure will put crappie in Your boat. This isn’t rocket science. Not many of these guys are out there with electronics, they use their 🧠👍👍🎣🫡.
Now this is great content. Thank you sir for your education. I am learning without livescope until I can afford livescope. But people have been very successful for decades without livescope.
Glad I ran across your channel. Love your presentation method - just plain and simple! And I like your approach to the way you fish as well. Needless to say, I am now a subscriber to your channel. Be safe out there and tight lines!
Don't apologize. One bad day of fishing is better than 10 good days at work. I been fishing all my life. Every time you go fishing, you add information to your data bank on how to catch fish.
Great content and video sir. I'm learning some new techniques from you to use on my channel to help me catch and find more crappie. I was one of those guys that tried to scan the whole lake. Lol. Keep em coming.
Yes sir i will and thanks for checking out the channel! It’s easy in the beginning to get overwhelmed with all that surface area you see, but your really only concerned with a small portion of it. I did the same. 👍🏼
Got into them once from the bank like that before off a 3" bass-assassin crystal shad was the color. Filled a 71/2 gallon bucket up, couldn't hold another one and didn't even have my limit and didn't have another bucket either. Awesome find brother, keep up the awesome videos 👍👍
Enjoyed your video! I fish the Chickamauga Lake area. Trying to learn more about crappie fishing. Traditionally I bass fish but looking to try the crappie bite this Spring.
You’ll enjoy it bud. Especially fall to spring. That’s when I catch most of my crappie. I’m more of a 10-20 foot deep kinda guy myself but I’m learning everyday as well. Thanks for watching!
good video except for the minnow part. Jigs would do same thing if not better. but thorough explanation of 2d as vast majority of us don't have LS nor ever will. TY
I only have a flasher on the front if my old 89 Ranger and I catch more than enough to eat and only crappy fish in the winter mostly. There's no replacement for spending time enjoying hunting those places that hold fish. I enjoyed your video because I started out in a jonboat and an old portable flasher.
