Welcome to our Channel! We base our channel simply on FOOD and Trucking!!! We love cooking and as you can see we also have our own trucking business as Owner Operator. Hope you all enjoy our cooking recipes. We troubleshoot and fix our truck and trailer as much as we can when things starts to go bad. Hope it helps you all save money on that too!
What people don’t realize is the air dryer when replace also replace the air control valve and screen for ahi located on frame rail between air dryer and the ahi dozer. This will knock out the ahi dozer in short time. Mine is original with 1,380,000 plus miles. Inexpensive part I replace when I change my air dyer filter. Semiannually
I got an SPN 3556 FMI1. Description on my basic scan tool says, dosing injector 7. Got it cleaned but still can’t clean code after a regen. Dealer says to replace the hydrocarbon module. Thoughts?
Drive the truck off a cliff and buy a Freightliner. Every Volvo has this problem regardless of year. Doesn't matter if its 10 years old or brand new. They all have a popping air dryer. I think the problem is actually Bendix Air Dryers. Some older Freightliner, Kenworth and Peterbilts have the problem as well. My Freightliner has a Merriter Wabco and doesn't have a problem at all.
I would have your auto inflator regulator looked at. If it is adjusted to be too low psi then it'll cause your tires to wear erratically on the outer shoulders like that. I really dont think it was ever a suspension issue. Suspension issues would usually result in a bumpy tread wear. If you do run heavy on your hauls then royalcrowntowing may have be right about running your tires at 110psi. Keep in mind you'd have to set your auto inflator regulator to that psi as well. If you run heavy and have psi too low it can have that effect too because it'll be too much weight for your tires to support.
I changed mine yesterday. It had an aftermarket one installed. Was a bit hard to do but still doable. Took me around 2 hrs but I was being very careful.
its axel flex , the manufactures of some axels used thinner steel for the tube of the axel to save weight and it causes more flex keep your tyres at 110 psi and move them round once a year
I'm not sure what that is. 7th injector doesn't need to be replaced. Just take it out and clean it. Make sure it's not clogged before putting it back in.
I’m getting a code( spn 3490 fmi 1)aftertreatment purge air actuator I bought an after market part on eBay do you think this can be causing the truck to not complete a full regen
I replaced the perg valve on my volvo once back, it was little hard for me to insatll because of it come with disassembled. I ended up replacing the whole air drier.
