@@NathanJones-sf5js there are climbs much harder than what he has done...and the risk is the same. His climb is only graded at 7c+, and people have soloed much higher grades. He has soloed much harder climbs himself(8b+). But yeah Alex is a legend!

From a climbers perspective: If you are new to the sport, Honnold flowing over stone slick from thousands of years of glacial polish looks beautiful. From an experienced climbers perspective, it is horrifying. I've soloed plenty and probably more than my partners agreed with at the time. Honnolds climbs were century's ahead.

Exactly. Even though I knew he was successful, watching Free Solo I was scared for him. My hands were sweaty the whole time and I was on edge. We have all just popped off on easy climbs, so we know the fine line he was toeing

I don't know, even with war criminals there can be stolen valour. Sure seals a war criminals, that is why the ones who went in to kill that old dude in his slippers and his wife, were under contract with the CIA, because they were acting outside the military context. Though, given that the US doesn't even sign most of those treaties, nobody really cares.
