Strength Sap causes a stat drop and then another effect. Parting Shot causes a stat drop and then another effect Against Clear Body or a Clear Amulet, Strength Sap skips the stat drop and does the other effect, but Parting Shot fails entirely Sometimes it feels like Game Freak just likes making stuff confusing
@@UnchainedPandoran alas, muk is running EQ and since he's behind sub he can click it for free. if swalot tries to tera then muk will poison it, and with its superior girth it simply hits too hard to be denied
JUST battled you on the ladder and I thought your name looked like a RU-vidr name! So glad to see what this Thwackey was running! Gg! Really threw me off 😂
Gg! Thanks for stopping by the channel! Your game should be in a video here soon, but it may take 2-3 weeks. Trying to reach master ball before the month is out, so my filming is a bit ahead of my editing atm.
I really love these videos. I would really appreciate the inclusion of the other players' pronouns though- in the description, onscreen, or in their introductions, whatever you think is best :)
That’s a really good idea! But it will probably come down to my guests’ personal preference whether or not we include pronouns at the start. Just depends on what everyone is comfortable sharing on the internet. I will ask for everyone’s thoughts before we record the next video! Again, a very good idea, and thanks for bringing it up!
These videos are always entertaining As an aside, I remember running into PokeMiku on ladder the other day and thinking it was cool to see another Miku fan in the wild. I didn't expect to see them again here
very cruel to insult someone's expression of joy. Sometimes inside thoughts should stay inside thoughts. I didn't even notice the "wheeze". this is a you problem.
Working on it, I promise! Most of the crew was competing in a big tournament this past weekend which made scheduling difficult. But Slugma will return.
It’s great that you guys handled this so maturely and made sure not to send any flak to the judges there or anything like that. I know it had to have been really frustrating.
I really enjoyed this video, it made me go back and binge the rest of the series Though I have to ask, why is Enamorus Contrary and not Cute Charm? Since it's Cloak, you can't even cannibalize a Snarl or the like, and it's not like any competent player is gonna target a PShot or something into it
You know… that’s a really good point. Without thinking I normally default to Contrary Enamorus if I’m not using Calm Mind, but with cloak there’s not much benefit there. Cloak was a last minute addition, and I just didn’t fully consider the anti-synergy with Contrary. Cute Charm would be the better choice. Good eye.
Ever since watching the series I have been waiting for it to continue! Also, congrats on your words invite! I’m looking forward to watching you through the stream.
I’m just confused as to why you picked a fire type move to go against other slugma. I get that there’s tera, and it’s a free for all, but I’m surprised you didn’t put earth power on there for extra coverage.
Because of stab (1.5 boost) and tera (~1.5 boost), a resisted fire move does a similar amount of damage as a neutral ground move. Additionally using a spread move reduces the damage of a move by roughly a quarter per target, but you hit 3 targets. I only wanted one damaging move on my set, so I thought heat wave was the least risky option, since it hits hard even into a resist (though lava plume was just a better choice). That being said, the fun of this mode is that we often get our picks wrong, and there’s no shortage of correct answers. Earth Power is a valid pick! Whatever floats your goat.
