Ah dw, I've played with lots of high rank players, including GMs, throughout the years (9? I think, can't be bothered to check), and it's a mixed bag at best. It really shows how flawed ranked in Paladins is - you can get into high ranks with mid skill and/or poor strategic thinking as long as you have decent friends to play in a party with. And it's clearly visible here on yt too - videos made by so-called "pros" lack actual substance. It was on display again after Omen's introduction: the most common criticism was "he's inconsistent" - it doesn't really mean anything. Actually skilled players are also often unpleasant as teammates - bloated egos, lack of teamwork, general toxicity. So be proud of being a veteran and staying outside of that cesspool. I hope I'll see more videos from you.

Great video. I used to main Ying back before Life Exchange was even a thing (around 7-8 years ago), and the gameplay was similar to what is known today as Resonance. A tip from me: when you pocket (matches without a tank often lead you to that), or in critical moments such as overtime, when it's most important to keep a specific teammate alive, it might be beneficial to place your illusions in the line of fire. So heal with shatter, use the cooldown to place your illusion between the teammate and enemy, heal with shatter again. It requires some communication with your team so they know to move around in order to keep the illusion as a barrier as the enemy moves around, and you gotta have Spring Bloom and Squadron cards in your deck. And what's more, the illusion keeps healing as long as it's alive, and once the enemy destroys it Spring Bloom goes into effect and you can place another illusion. Pretty nifty when you're in a pinch. You can use illusions to save yourself too (it's in my arsenal when I play Resonance).

I play Paladins for 5 years, have ying just on level 30 but liked to play her sometimes and now for the first time I get how the life link works lmao, silly me. I also had no idea she can teleport to anyone durring ults. Already played 5 matches and those 2 things stepped up my game like 200% xD

I play corvus and moji, i usually use dark gifts with corvus when playing with my friend who mains raum and i run spreading influence if theres 2 flanks on the team, or an off tank, then moji is always run snack attack cause i rarely use scamper other than to push forward with my tank, i just like snack attack due to the fact i dont need to be near my team to heal, i just heal them when picking up the health pack, and i dive back with the other flanks or off tanks to help them out in the backline, but incase i dont get an on tank for my team, ill run my tank build to try and stay alive and use the sheild as much as possible, this video is a great help, excellent video, very informative

Speaking of luna being too much fo a target, do you tend to put luna on payload as it moves, or redeploy her as the payload moves?

rei is such a diverse and unique champion and healer and a lot of people underestimate her. she can be a good healer a good damage healer and you can even do both at the same time. she has good defenses and let’s not talk about her buffs.

Just started playing Paladins with my wife. I've been using IO, Seres, and Rei. Been playing healers since Everquest in the late 90s and early 00s. I really enjoy paladins so far thanks for the videos.

I am by no means a support main. I'm actually a flank main, but I'm broadening out and trying to learn the rest of the game. This really helped me learn Rei. I've been coming back to this vid for a couple of days now. I went from struggling to defend myself and keep up with healing to being able to consistently out heal the enemy support and keep up with damage. Great work explaining all of this! It has been super helpful!

Love your in depth guides! One small thing though is maybe have Chapters set up for quick reference to certain sections. This might be a feature when uploading or editing videos, this would be very helpful! <3

if there are still people watching this video, one more tip for grover. learning vine tech is really beneficial, it allows you to triple the range of your vine without having to use the card for it.

My main support is Mal. My playstyle is a little different. I never try to stun anyone. I just simply just chase vulnerable teammates for heal so Im running max speed all the time. People complain about me not buying deft immediately but I think Chronos and Nimble is priority. Mostly, Im doing great with Mal. Im good at predicting a teammates route and placing the gourd in advance. I dont always place gourds where the teammate is atm, place it where they will go. preferably, where they have a chance to avoid dmg like behind a rock or wall or shield. so the teammate dont end up going away from the gourd, instead, theyre going on it. Except if they can actually win a fight with a little healing. My favorite thing in this game is a good Damba player because I know they're very attentive because he is probably the hardest support.
