No matter if it’s music, books, tv shows, movies, or any other art form. My biggest pet peeve is anyone insisting they’re ’real’ fans of that medium simply because they refuse to like anything that’s popular (even though they tend to like a lot of popular things anyway while still insisting their taste is underground lmao)
Finally!! I've looked for this video for years and could never find it. I'm saving it and sending in all my important group chats so I never lose it again. This is some of the wildest video edits you ever see on RU-vid.
As a guy that listens to majority of the artists mentioned in the video, I don’t really consider them super indie, but at the same time it sucks suddenly hearing their music be overplayed in some random tiktok video
literally why is it so hard to watch this video? I'm confused as to why your video buffers like I'm on dial-up when I can wach the original like butter.
As a Japanese student living in a country, literally no one knows my favorite music in English. Most of my friends even don’t know who Beyoncé is 😅 especially when it comes to my favorite genre alternative rocks and 60s~10s R&B music … I’m lonely 😢
watched akira for the first time yesterdwy and immediately looked up amvs. this one absolutely floored me, one of the best amvs ive ever seen for anything.
Mainstream ain't shit mf. Try them out 1. Gangsta rap (eazy e , 50 cents etc) 2. Old skool (elvis presley, queen , beatles and many more) 3. Edm/pop kind (neighbourhood , arctic monkeys etc) 4. The tame impala genre (idk what it is called) 5. Playlists like Hawai part 2 , songs similar to come and get your love etc. 6.Instrumental (mixed and those who give a vibe of hundreds of years back) 7. Many hindi old artists (you probably don't know any) 8. Pop (michael jackson , prince, bruno mars) 9. Tally hall genre (rock) 10.Tons of random good songs like Its been a long-long time, mr. Sandman, the devil went down georgia, superstitions , reminder , catch the rainbow , spit in my face , themes songs like of berserk , songs taken from JoJo bizzare adventure refrenceces etc And my preference is still under evolution. They are mostly mainstream but they are GOLD. Diverse enough?
I listen to a strange mix of black metal, gothic music, horrorcore rap, nu metal, traditional 80’s metal, visual kei, punk rock, alternative rock, classical music, random 1900’s greatest hits, video game soundtracks, anime soundtracks, movie soundtracks, dungeon synth, dark wave, ambient music and weird indie RU-vid artists. I respect whatever people like. No one is better or worse than anyone else for their taste in music.
average 'underground music' fan's artists: 1. Tame Impala is mainstream 2. Tyler The Creator has won Grammys 3. Gorillaz is mainstream 4. Kendrick is mainstream as fuck 5. Kanye has won multiple Grammys and awards 6. David Bowie is one of the most mainstream and celebrated artists, so is Queen 7. MF Doom is possibly the most mainstream underground artist ever Even the weird 'Captain Beefheart' shit is popular the album was produced by Frank Zappa (weird but mainstream) and is in the National Music Registry.
I used to say I listen to everything, although I rather listened to nothing. The truth is, some music I love and some I don't. Period. Can't separate it into genres. Also, I must admit, I love that baseline. Good mix
I think that we can all agree that there's a lot of good music out there, whether mainstream or non-mainstream but if you are looking for good non-mainstream songs, I highly suggest electric mistress, I'm thr mountain, and black church all by Stoned Jesus. They're in the stoner rock genre I believe.
