The last hours of the American Civil War came through the area, followed by the very beginnings of the Civil Rights Movement. Three Virgina State Parks, Briery Creek Wildlife Management Area, Sandy River Reservoir, and The Outdoor Adventure Park - the largest aerial obstacle course and zip line in Virginia can all be found within our borders. Add to that a vibrant and growing downtown Farmville, and you can't beat the opportunities.
