Thanks for the feedback ! I was on the fence about music being too loud or not. But just listening to people talk with no background tends to make I terest fall off lol.
Good vid - thanks for uploading this one. I’m getting some Valvetronic codes lately and thinking I need to check/replace that motor. I’m at 186k mileage and just did the valve cover a few months ago due to oil leaks and misfires due to oil accumulation in my spark plug tubes. Would have been convenient to do the valvetronic motor at the time, but it is what it is. 😂
Thanks ! Plenty more to come and yeah.. I probably would've gone ahead and changed that valvetronic while you were there. After doing it was honestly pretty easy . Hardest part was just removing all the extra junk.
Yes sir ! Nothing wrong with it. I think people only have dme issues when they let it gwt to point where car isnt starting or idling poorly. Mine did non of that @dnup9392
its simple. to eliminate rasp, install a couple resonators (those cheap hot dog style ones). they eliminate annoying vibrations and disgusting resonance.
@@Jewnbug1 high flow cats dont exactly do the same thing....and there are plenty of videos with high flow catted S55s that still sound like farting down a cave? effective resonsators are the key, its common exhaust knowledge for like the past 50yrs or so...its not just an S55 thing.
Common knowledge would be equal length fixing poor sounds. Valvetronic does fix that. Resonators do not and have been proven to not fix rasp on s55 (only thing that would help with is drone). The only fix is single midpipe or high flow cats . I've seen it all and heard em all. Only solution unfortunately.
I also heard that the single mid pipe takes away the rasp. Could be something to try. Great vid by the way. One day I would like to get that exhaust for my M3 as well.
@KingZambie5920 singles do. This was the setup I had prior.. with valvetronic you cannot do that . As their setup gives the car a completely different sound. And the unique dual setup that converts into a hpipe single cannot be removed .
@Lomein-fps non resonated .. I've asked other withbresonated and they state rasp as well but not as bad with resonated . Hi flow is the best solution and eliminates most if not all of it.
@@Jewnbug1You should make a comparison video. Catless vs Hi flow. Valvetronic Designs hasn’t even made a video like that yet. And thanks for posting your videos. It helps others to make a more informed purchase.👍🏾
@rickybobby3043 that's actually what I plan to do ! I'll be doing a full video of how car is without stuff left off like valvetronics did and with hi flows
People need to stop comparing the sound of the S55 to others cars. It's unique and fine the way it is. There are single and equal length midpipes to expirement with which makes it cool because it changes the sound and tone. But apart from all the hate I was fine with the sound. ST is an option to make it sound good too!
nothing wrong with comparing in my opinion. When you spend any amount on a car, especially cars at this price and above. You expect certain things. Although not as bad as I used to think or as bad as people make em out to be. It could sound sooo much better. Is it VQ bad... no .. I used to own one lol but at its price range it could certainly be better.
Before heard a valvetronics f80 I would've agreed with you ... after hearing one.. yeah.. f80 with valvetronics sounds just as good. Obviously not v8 good but v6 good as it should've always. 😊
@@Jetturbiner Straight 6 cylinders will always sound like straight 6 cylinders guys. No matter what you will do to the engine and the exhaust. This is something unavoidable. Don't get me wrong F80M3 & F82M4 are very good looking cars. Both handle better, both are faster than predecessor E9x M3 but at the same time that magnificent S65 V8 engine compensates for all of this. Share your love for BMW ///M.
@user-wf2yq7mb6y the s55 has unequal downpipes causing inequal air pressure waves when they intercept at the merge and cause a highly tinny almost twin 3 cylinder sound.. single turbo sounds ace and equal pipes with stock turbos sound less raspy
@khalidali8482 no problem at all. And there are a ton.. but I've only heard two I really really like.and it's my current setup with dinan exale back or valvtronic . Otherwise single turbo is WTG.
Sounds like mine when it starts up. I have street engineering headers with no cats but it has a stress fracture and havent put the kooks on yet. Sounds good tho. What did u out down with this current setup?
First thing I thought was, now all it needs a plate, then you literally reveal one right after 😂, where in Texas are you at? I got a f80 otw and I'm in DFW.
@@Jewnbug1 I think it looks amazing, really completes the build and makes it "yours". Dang, that sucks, just having that lingering in the back of your head. Nice! I'm in Plano to be exact. If I see you at a car meet I'll be sure to stop ya 😆
Weird question but what jacket are you wearing? Been looking for a new one and I wanna go with a brown this time, and something that fits a bit better. Looks like we have relatively similar builds
The brand is reax ! Can't remember name of jacket but it's a shirt/jacket rather than a full jacket so it's comfortable and protective but looks casual .
@@SpaceGringos3D the system sounds incredible and the customer service was great. It took a few months to make after I ordered the system, then there was some fitment issues when I did received the system, but it was quickly resolved and sent back to me. I've had it installed since late May, and it's truly a head tuner and definitely worth the wait.
No tune on the bike . Just slapped it on and sent it ! (No issuses for months) Shouldn't need a tune but I would prob get one as it does give the bike quite a bit more bite than it already has.
