Dear Dr. Judy. You've mentioned your experience with dog's bladder cancer and the use of mushrooms. Could you share which mushrooms you used, how you combined them etc.? I know a bit about different mushrooms and their benefits-I even have a mix that includes seven types at 700mg each. But I feel like I could use some more guidance. Dr Morgan, I sent you an email on your website earlier today. In that email I mentioned that I was using the Dr Dobias's FAB 4 Bundle and the Liver Tune. Because I was not sure if I was doing the right thing I could to help heal my Rescue boy Baxter. Then I found this video! <3 I already feel better about my choice now. Little Baxter is probably simply going through the normal process of getting worse before he gets better, but it is quite frustrating when we as pet parents are not medical professionals and we try to trust our Vets and then we try to research to find the answer for our pets. I feed my dog Viva Raw pure rabbit, he has severe yeast infection so changing the diet is part of how I am trying to address the infection. I have only been feeding him this for 3 weeks but I am hoping for a good outcome.
I have/had 3 female dogs. All spayed & up to date on vaccines. My chihuahua was euthanized in April due to serious medical conditions. My latter dogs are 12 & 11. My advice is: don’t get a pet, veterinary care IS expensive. Then 2 pets left always have to get groomed, $60-80$ each plus tip every 2 months. My chihuahua had surgery last September to remove two tumors, it was expensive. I regret putting her through that.
Have a sick female maltipoo. Have both bags of pure balance we tried for the first time. All the symptoms and many vet bills later I happen along your site while looking for recipe to prepare Her food better. I've been coking for her for about a month...unfortunately, I doctored pure balance thinking because it was new, she was being picky.
My schnauzer was the smallest of the litter and had to be supplemented then when I brought him home he had massive ‘seizure like” event after his puppy shots. We’ve spent over $15k trying to figure this out. He was diagnosed with low thyroid, then mucopolysaccaridosis then all tests for those things came back negative. He has only had episodes once every 4-5 months. At 8 months I checked him for allergies and he is allergic to everything so I make his food now but it is hard. He is even allergic to pumpkin. BUT since I eliminated so much he has gained weight, gotten taller and stronger but at a year old when he had to get his rabies vaccine he had a really bad reaction and had to be hospitalized. We are confused and scared but he will be 2 in September and I just try to take one day at a time and just try to help him as best I can. He is super smart, well behaved (with a spicy personality 😊 ) and Injust watch his environment and diet to make sure symptoms are do not recur. I use Dr. Marty's freeze dried . Best ingredients ever. My dog is doing well on this along with slightly cooked, raw & fully cooked food. Steamed Organic Vegs & also the meats are organic.
we've been feeding dog food from costco without a problem. I do cook for them & mix it in but with 6 dogs, I can't afford to feed straight home cooked. I make treats for them & only give Rabies after the initial vaccines

Hello! My pittie was just diagnosed with low platelets. His first count was 82, the next day, platelet count was 94. Tuesday we did imaging (ultrasound, chest x-rays) and all imaging was perfect, so they did not aspirate, but the bloodwork that came back from that visit showed that his platelet count had dropped to 42. All of his tick borne disease panels were negative. So he was put on 30mg pred, twice day…not sure at this point how long he’ll be on it. He has an appointment for another blood draw Monday. He also has a history of MCT’s. They’ve all been low grade with clean margins (except for one on his eyelid that was low grade but had narrow margins). In fact, the reason we found the low platelets was bc we did preanesthetic bloodwork to remove a couple new bumps. He’s 9.5 years old. On fish oil, phycox, a probiotic, claratin, (I just stopped giving him redonyl), and gets an immunotherapy injection weekly (made specifically for him by his animal dermatology clinic). Is there anything I can do to help him increase platelet production? I did start giving him liver. Would a b-12 injection help? He eats orijen original. I was feeding him homemade raw, but it became so expensive and time consuming, any suggestions for a balanced raw diet that is more affordable?
Wow...when I saw the ingredients of the product I purchased theough my vet for my allergy ridden Frenchie I couldn't beleive it. I am on a Ketogenic doet and I knew the ingredients sounded terrible. Now i known for sure that I need to feed my dog the same real food that I eat!
We put our cavapoo on the pumpkin and turkey diet. Major improvement in 48 hours. She has been doing it for 3 weeks now. We tried to slowly wean her off of it the 4th week and back to her dog food (Purina pro plan) and she is already back to diarrhea…. We don’t know what to do 🥲

Best cat food on the market that you could suggest? New cat mom here and I want to give her the best food I can afford. I don't want to make it myself. Can you suggest brands? I tried Nulo, but she doesn't like it. I got her dry food, Orijen, but I want her to have more hydration. The vet I went to said I needed to feed her dry food for the plaque. So do you have suggestions on how to address dental health longterm?
