Gratitude ❤ I just have a question- I am a Loctician & I am also a SisterLocks Trainee (for 2 1/2 years now). My hubby & I own our Salon & Spa. I have purchased a heat hoodie to steam hair & I also have a portable hood/ facial steamer & a standing steamer (like yours). My hubby & I just love it for BOTH facial & to Deep condition & Hot oil steam treat my SisterLocks & his Bruh Loc’s as well as the AWESOME benefits of our Sauna. I have introduced this service to all of my clients & I put them under the steamer after each Loc’s retightening every six (6) weeks. They absolutely love it ❤I am also a researcher & I came across a video with a Cosmetologist/ scientist stating that too much steaming can cause adverse reactions & follicle/scalp conditions. My question is how much is too much? How often do you steam? Some of my clients want to make weekly appointments just for steaming! 😊 I am asking because I want to be well informed & so that I can also educate my clients. @alishiawilson7534 AWESOME SAUCE To you and hubby!😃 I personally steam my Sisterlocks weekly for one hour. I've been following this regimen for 3 years, and I, nor my clients/students/customers, have not had any adverse effects on our scalp. In fact, just the opposite. Our scalp is healthy and is producing healthy hair and faster-growing hair. When I decided to do what worked for me, I ditched the "opinions" of everybody else and stuck to what was right for me. Steaming is a treat for your scalp and hair...you are giving it a burst of hydration. With that said, do what you feel is right for you...test and try a possible consistent routine to see what works for you and your clients. In my "opinon" there are no rules except the ones you set for yourself. CONGRATULATIONS to you, hubby, and your clients for applying what I call, #HairCareIsSelfCare motto. 🙌🏾👌🏽💯🌟

I’m looking for advice about sister locs. I’ve been studying and looking at videos about sister locs. I’m trying to decide if I want to get them. My goal is too to get them when I turn 60. I am on 59 at 58 I gave myself two years to make the decision on whether or not, I was going to do it when I turn 60. My concern is my hair is thinning especially, on the top and I just worry that the locs will break my hair off in the front. And the maintenance will I be able to maintain them so that they look nice and grow.

...but to answer you more directly, we use a steamer machine...looks like a hair dryer, but you fill it with water. And this is where the Steam disperse. Steaming is a game-changer 😊
Hello Rene, I do the same like you. I chew the omega and add the fruit and vegetable capsules in my smoothie. I drink a smoothie every morning instead of a sausage and biscuit (grease). I consume water all day. I really feel good. I been taking the juice plus for about two weeks now. You should try it if you’re watching this video.😊
@@BrittneySkylar I refrigerate after I use it...I have found that Aloe vera will turn rancid and watery, and brown. So, to keep it fresh, I would refrigerate.
Thank you for your excitement and knowledge you are sharing with us. If I had sister locks I would truly invest in what you have to offer. But I do it anyway by using your God given products on my natural textured gray hair. The Journal is awesome as well. You are doing it right in the Living God's sight.
