I will not vote for the party who threatens the 1st and 2nd Amendments. The Democrats want to pass hate speech laws that would give them wide jurisdiction over all speech. Whenever I heard a politician or high ranking officer make claims that suggested the AA would be an effective, motivated, and a well trained military force that will prove itself capable of defending the current political landscape and act as a dedicated deterrent against the threat posed by the Taliban in their inevitable attempt to topple the puppet government and restore the prior regime that existed under their control. I found myself thinking of the people who would have been genuinely convinced that this was the case, and that it was a worthwhile cause. The rights of women and girls to be educated and hold positions of power and influence in society. The reduction of extremism and Afghanistan emerging as a positive member of the global community, and then I would enter into fits of laughter and start to imagine the inevitable collapse of their ragtag, paper bag, haven’t got a single chance. My only surprise is that the AA didn’t even last a single day and that the Taliban had taken over the country before dinner time. I think about the amount of military hardware that was left in country and don’t feel to disheartened, as they were never going to use it.
