Loving the game. Always have thought so not much a change for me lol. Not a huge story enjoyer myself but that's just cause I'm trying to access content faster so I skip most of it.
Thank you for this guide. I love the game but can't devote too much time to the pretty deep customization mechanic and the echoes are definitely deep. I appreciate you simplifying this.
I'm a little lost because at 8.00 you say ""He'll then start channelling 'Shield Skewer', you will want to move towards the crystals which are not glowing."' but the vid shows you moving towards a glowing crystal on the boss's left side. Could you clear this up for me, please?
man dps is up to much vs when this video was made lol, I think we had 3-4 black mages we destroyed both shells so fast I don't even think we got halfway through filling the second part of the limit break. thx again for the guide
It's quite easy using Biazhi on pretty much any difficulty but also just using the Bell-Borne echo on most of the lower difficulties will provide enough shielding to prevent all of the damage you take as long as your not face tanking all of the boss hits.
Gave me a concise revision of the dungeon, notably the last fight, which I had partly forgotten. Thankyou for a clear description of the red/blue sign manoeuvres. I recommend your vids to friends.
How do you tell what she's gonna switch to? I don't see any indication in this video other than your narration, is it just me and my eyes but the aoe circles are really hard to see on the ground
healer whm is my main role and your tank pov always helps me since ARR to Endwalker. However, Halone's part were never been easy for me, coz everyone use so much devine magic and everything (plus SMN bringing that huge Ifrit and Bahamut to my face) I cant see anything! forget Halone's AOE, I can't even find my cursor lmao
You can adjust the minion size for others with the text command /petsize small/medium/large. I usually run them on large because I like the way they look but I have most the fights memorized so a lot easier for me to know what's coming next to dodge. Would recommend turning them to small if you sometimes struggle to see around them.
Just did this I was tank I have no clue if I was tethered I don't think I had it once might have been lucky, some big explosion went off and I never died but I don't think I touched an orb all fight, we hit pretty hard though second set of adds wasn't even a thing, glad it's over, thx for the guides
Usually yes because you never know if the main tank will mess up and end up dieing. If I'm not the main tank I usually turn my tank stance off at the beginning of the fight and then after a minute or two I'll turn it back on. That way I'm still 2nd on the agro list but not competing with the main tank.
That alarm though lol makes me want to jam knives in my ears, I guess it's ambient sound so turned it off see how it goes next time, just ran it with the lazy npcs 30 min was done, thought the bot Conj wouldn't be able to heal through all the adds on second boss but it was fine
Yes the NPCs aren't to bad at all. Long as you don't make mistakes it usually will go fine. Especially if you don't know me hanics because you can literally just follow them since they do every mechanic correctly
I know this fight by heart from healer perspective (WHM) but wanted to see it from a tank perspective as I finally decided to level a paladin after all these years...thank you!
I'm kinda disappointed, my team killed the boss so fast that we didn't even got sent to the dessert dimension. It was my first time and I was surprised by how fast we defeated the boss.
Commenting again to thank you so much for this video! I finally had time to queue up for it this evening. We had a nice, clean run (aside from a black mage who ate a few AOEs) and I hit the lb at the right time, thanks to your clear walkthrough.
I just unlocked this part in the MSQ and I have to say going from healing NPC's in dungeons to doing a full 8 man raid with real people is very intimidating 😧 Time to practice in dungeons for a bit XD. Thanks for the guide!
I'm loving seeing some Dragon Age here!! Haha Found out your channel because of your FF14 videos, love your work!! Big tip here, I saw that you didn't do some DLC for DA:O, DLCs are pretty important for the overall narrative in Dragon Age, especially the ones in the second game really. The ones that matter in DA:O is Awakening (which is a whole expansion, the last one Bioware ever did for any game, it introduces some DA2 characters and concepts too) and Witch's Hunt (Which is really the endgame for the DA:O story, it deals with Morrigan, and introduces another big concept for DA2 and DA:I)
I may go back and play through them later. I was getting so aggravated with the optimization of the first Dragon Age with it's constant crashes that I was so glad to finally finish the base game and switch to something else. I really enjoyed the game but that experience almost ruined it so much for me that I almost stopped playing it several times.
Thankyou for this clear, concise run-through. It may be 2 years old, but still very relevant. The odds for the Griaule have consequently changed, and instead of being 3:1 in its favour, it's now 3:1 in mine, and I'm planning on changing that 1 to a 0. I had trouble seeing the coiling roots and time is of the essence. It's a little sad to have to remove all those sparkly effects of skills and spells, but it helps greatly.
I did this 6 months ago after watching your guide, and kept getting hit by the Unnatural Enchantment. Now I'm coming back for glams, and I'm finally catching myself from hitting any of the 3! I have no idea why it's so hard to focus on it coming, but I certainly hope the algorithm gets something out of me watching these multiple times over the course of several months because they definitely help. Thanks!
@belphegor_tv I adjust how much I'm pulling depending on if I feel like the healer can keep up, what cooldowns I have up, and sometimes which dungeon I'm in as certain mobs are a bit more dangerous than others. I think for this dungeon it just has an odd number of enemy packs between bosses so that is the main factor. Along with the sprite pulls are quite dangerous and annoying to deal with as they are 100% ranged units so unlike some other ranged units they don't get closer to you between attacks and they are casting spells which depending on the class you are playing hit harder than physical damaging enemies. Dark Knights are the exception because they have higher spell resistance and a few cooldowns exclusively for spells. Hope this helps explain the thought process because I'm not sure the reason why I was doing it at the time I recorded this but its stuff I consider every dungeon when I'm pulling.
The fight is easily one of the most disappointing and poorly designed. Tedious to the point of boredom. Let's begin with the entire concept of fighting a character like HYDAELYN with a petty group of 8 players. It's not credible. She should be in a raid and even then very difficult to bring down. Instead, we get this tiny platform and regular AOE in which is virtually impossible to avoid other players. (Why bother with AOE if we cannot avoid the other players? Just one shot us and get it over with.) The red and green spheres result in damage no matter WHERE you're standing. The mid-point is us slashing at a bunch of crystals. How compelling. Having spent months and months to get to this point, THIS is the best the developers could do? SAD.
From the beginning of the game it has always been kind of a point that yes while Hydaelyn essentially being a god is incredibly weak. Throughout multiple times in the earlier expansion she was barely able to protect the warriors of light due to this so having her fight only be 8 people I don't believe is to far fetched especially since it's not just 8 normal people but 8 people who have down all kinds of crazy stuff and even taken down other gods. As far as AOEs go every single boss fight in the entire game has at least 1 AOE that hits the entire party no matter what. If they didn't then if everyone was doing their job correctly there would be absolutely no need for healers. As far overlapping these AOEs and taking more damage than you should standing in the wrong place and getting hit by the red, blue, or green AOEs that is a placement problem. Through this entire video I was only hit by one AOE that I could of avoided which was the disk and that was due to my own placement. The middle part being crystals again makes since cause the warriors of light in earlier FF's where tasked with locating the different colored crystal so it's a bit of her story that spans all the way back to the original FF. While your entitled to how you feel about the fight hopefully this explanation has made this not such a letdown for you.
