Getting my Stelara induction tomorrow for my Ulcerative Colitis and already having an anxiety attack over doing the injections myself afterwards. Love how detailed and slow this video is!

Thank you for your video! Not my first time injecting myself but it's still newish to me. I've had problems injecting myself as of lately and your video helped A TON. Unlike the other videos you actually do it correctly as it's supposed to be injected at a 45 degree angle vs straight in. I can't thank you enough the needle went in so painlessly the way you did it.the last time I was injecting myself on the other side of the bellybutton and I had soo much trouble. After poking myself about 8 times the needle finally went in all the way, painful! So glad I came to RU-vid this time around and found your video

Thank you so much for this video! After 1 1/2 years of injecting Cimzia I just did my first shot of Stelara (I have psoriasis arthritis). Stelara was so much less pain and I have to inject every 12 weeks only - Cimzia was every 2 weeks. I have such high hopes for Stelara!

i get the same dosage as you, but once every 8 weeks, i said itts only making me 70% better, and by my 7th week im sick again with my Colitis. They said science hasnt got data on the dosage yet for the weight of a person. And my specialist said this 8 months ago. But your video is 5 years old. Im so confused, im 6ft 101kg.

Is this how you have to take it? It's not like an epipen design that I have for methotrexate or when I was on humira??? I hate needles and had to speak with my consultant years ago to try and get the push button epipen type😮💜

It was hard to watch.. As I am scared of needles 💉 I will watch it again to get used to it. But how is it that this is less painful than Humira? I found Humira damn easy. It did not sting all that much but it used to itch a lot by the night. Anyways it didn’t really work.. so.

Been there done that with Humira. I cringed when it was time for it. I definitely prefer Stelara. You made it so much easier. Thank you for making it an almost pleasant experience. I say almost because injections suck to begin with. 😂 You truly made it easier ❤

My first infusion is scheduled for next week. So two months after that, I will need to do the injection. I was on Humira for two years, and I never once minded giving myself the injections because of the pen but the fact that this is a real needle has me a little bit concerned. The same company that does the infusions will also do the injections, but it seems to me they are a lot more expensive than if you just get the hypodermic at the pharmacy and give yourself the injections. But I did appreciate your video. I do have one question. I am in my early 70s and my hands are not very strong. Is it hard to press the plunger?
@KristyJ
@KristyJ Год назад
Hi Joy, in my opinion the plunger isn't hard to push down- I found the Humira pens had more resistance than the Stelara syringes. Hope it all goes well for you! X

The plunger will extract itself as soon as you let go. You don’t need to hold it down and pull out the needle. I would also suggest to let go of your pinched skin before retracting the needle.
@luann3413
@luann3413 5 месяцев назад
It is now advised from the manufacturer to pull it completely out while the plunger is down❤

This works great for me. I did however seem to notice after I started using dermaroller and this product at the same time the results were greatly amplified over just the rapid Brow alone

I know this video is old, but I am in the same boat you were. I was on Humira for 5 months with no luck. I just had my infusion with Stelara. Do you remember about how long it was until you noticed a difference? Great video btw, thank you!

Thankyou for this video, I've had my infusion & tomorrow I'm due to do my 8th weekly injection. My question is I don't have a pre filled syringe? I have to draw up the Stelara from the viles... I'm anxious about it, I was previously on Humira & I much rather the pen. Thankyou for the video. From Australia 💐

How long you had to take these injections to stay in remission and after stopping did you feel symptoms again?
