We have always wanted a Porsche but life gets in the way. So at 47, I have convinced my son that we can do a 'wheeler dealer' job, and with just £1,000 we'll trade our way up to a proper, full blown amazing Porsche!
No promises, but we will tray and find the future classics to restore and keep them running for a bit longer.
Track our journey here, it began in August 2023.
If you have enjoyed out videos and want to help us, then buy us a coffee to show thanks for keeping you entertained.
You will know when you or someone goes to take them out. If they snap off in the head then that tends to indicate over tightening. Torque wrenches are quite cheap, you can find them on eBay and places like Toolstation!
Thanks for the video. I changed my filter a few weeks ago so very helpful. The car doesn’t do many miles and I already have the water in fuel filter warning light again so I assume I can just drain it again without the need to replace it this time.
I would drain it and check you do not have a leak into the fuel tank (or using cheap fuel). Water build up should take months and some driving for it to make the sensor go off. Get it checked.
great car, I have the 3.2 v6 busso which I have done a few videos on, on my channel. That 1.9 engine, is very VERY tuneable. Can really get some decent performance out of it. And they are an absolute bargain now.
I love the look and feel of this car. It fits like a slipper and goes like Billy-o! We still have a few things to do (weekend mechanics and cleaners) but when done I am seriously going to cry when we put it up for sale. If anything I am just pleased we saved one from a potential scrap heap. I bet the V6 is an awesome machine!
