I did that with a tree around a rock. It lived for 8 years, for some reason it turned brown and died in about a months time. I think it was the harsh winter. Maybe roots froze? But im on the east side of the cascades in wa.
@pameladaffon525 it was a white pine. Yes i planted it in a rock wall. It got about 7 feet tall. I noticed down the mountain from me is an old christmas tree lot. Several trees are still there. One of his near the highway, same tree did the same thing. Im thinking it has something to do with the cold weather we had. I had a pipe thats 3 feet underground freeze. Pipe didnt break but i lost water for 3 days. That water went to my frostless water outlet. Its not supposed to freeze. I believe it got down to -11 degrees. Alot of people had problems with their wells.
@pameladaffon525 i have a log thats rotted in the center. I noticed this spring, there is an oak tree growing up thru it. Guess an accorn fell into it, or a squirrel put it there?
Been there, Wallace falls is something to C also if that was ohio there would b gas tanks from cars and refrigerator s in the rivers and streams tires thrown out on the country side
