Welcome to my channel, where I try to get out and about to show the buses that I see on my travels. I would welcome constructive comments on my content and hope that you can subscribe.
Some very nice liveries, not like boring all red London buses, I really need to get out and about more this year, I barely even go out now as it it, hence lack of videos.
I do like these different locations placed into one video, I think you have given me an idea, next year I am going to save all my clips and at the end of 2024, do an end of year video for each operator in London.
Go for it. It could be a nice lengthy one. I did this as I was out for the day, headed for a particular location, then, after finishing there, just picked a route at random and carried on, producing what you see.
Excellent video. In my youth in the late 1950s/early 1960s, from my home in industrial West Yorkshire I visited Manchester and its surrounding towns many times. To me the area was, as far as buses were concerned, the centre of the universe with a multitude of different vehicle types in a multitude of different liveries. Unfortunately then came SELNEC. Oh dear. I can't remember the last time that I was in Manchester, it's so long ago but your video clearly shows that times have changed again and the bus scene is almost as varied and colourful as it was 60 years ago. Well done.
Wow, York has an incredibly colourful bus scene these days. I was born in the West Yorkshire industrial area and as both a bus and railway enthusiast visited York many times in the late 1950s/early 1960s. At that time the city was dominated by the red and cream standard Bristol/ECW buses of West Yorkshire/York-West Yorkshire with only the brown York Pullman and blue East Yorkshire buses to give variety. A fabulous period all the same. Excellent video.
I was born in Dewsbury in 1946, lived in Mirfield from 1949, Heckmondwike from 1959, Sheffield from 1970 and have lived in London from 1972. Between 1966 and 1970 I was a conductor and driver with the Yorkshire Woollen District Transport Company at their Beck Lane, Heckmondwike garage. In my youth I travelled between Leeds and York by bus many times but over the roads between York and Whitby I have only ever travelled by car. Excellent video.
Excellent video. Although I was born in Dewsbury in 1946 I lived in Sheffield 1970 to 1972 and during that time was a bus driver with the Sheffield Transport Department. Since then, apart from two years during which I lived abroad I have lived in London. I last visited Sheffield about 40 years ago.
There was a lot of traffic amongst the buses even at 07:00, so it will probably be much busier later in the day. Hardly anything appeared or departed London Bridge in the time I was there (late Sunday morning) so I left.
I understand those buses do not have Euro6 engines and therefore ate not allowed into Birmingham, but a number of Volvo/ALX400s can be seen in Walsall.
The greyish ones not red but I surely like the jubilee busses of what you see as the odd one in usuall place the 65 was the best really multi coloulered and the ones on here too
I was surprised at the number of Trident/ALX400s still in service. Talking to a local fellow enthusiast, he told me those in Birmingham are Euro6 engined, but if you do get to Walsall, there the ALX400s are Volvos, which are not Euro6.
Extended Bodies for Most of the Buses Much as I am not comfortable to ask the depot why they stopped running the London Suburban Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s on routes N26, 30, 121, 230, 271, 349, N279 And 158 why can’t we make the same make of the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Buses but Modernise the insides of these Buses. Also make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more so there will be more space for the wheelchair users. By the way, if you could remake and Modernise these vehicles could they also make it into a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Version’s that if it will be possible and to Modernise the insides of these Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW’s make it low floor up and down and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a Little bit more so there will be more space and even a London Suburban Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more. Why couldn’t we have those London Suburban Buses Pale red on the top roof Pale red again on the top middle Milk Chocolate brown on the middle Creamy white on the Bottom Middle and Milk Chocolate Brown again on the Bottom on most of those kind of those Particular Double Decker Vehicles. Could you put the Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox in the Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and also put the Loud 3-Speed Voith Diwa Gearbox in the Volvo TD102KF Engine East Lancs Olympus and also extend the middle body part of these vehicles a little bit more and also turn most of them to a London Suburban Buses. By the way could you also make the routes N26, 349, 121, N279 and 271 into a London Suburban Buses and have a mixture of a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC and Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Gardner 6LX and Gardner 6LXC Diesel Engine Olympian ECW Version’s. Could they also transfer the Arriva Bus Depots from Hackney to Stagecoach company so they can replace all the Arriva buses so that all of them can go to Birmingham and Leeds and they can be replaced by Stagecoach Loud 3-Speed Voith Diwa Gearbox Volvo TD102KF Engine East Lancs Olympus and also Extend the Middle body part of these Vehicles and that includes A Mixture of a Stagecoach Loud 3-Speed Voith Diwa Gearbox Volvo TD102KF, Gardner 6LXC and Gardner 6LXCT Engine Northern Counties Palatine One and that Includes a Loud 4-Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Automatic Gearbox Scania N230UD Enviro 400 MMC Vehicles A Little Bit More. Can Arriva London Bus Company’s Replace Most of their Wight Buses so they can also transfer them to Birmingham and Also Manchester so they can be Replaced by Loud 3-Speed ZF Ecomat Gearboxes Volvo D10A Engine East Lancs Olympus and also Extend the Middle body part of these Vehicles A Little Bit More Thank You Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Very Much. Few little mistakes in the video: - Streetdecks with Go North East are not Eclipse Gemini 3's. Shorter in length. - At 3:55 that is a Volvo B5TL Gemini 3 which was a former Demonstrator - At 6:00 that is also a Volvo B5TL Gemini 3 which again was another former Demonstrater - At 7:32 that is another B5TL - At 7:47 that is a Gemini 2 Overall tho, its a great spotting which you have done. Hopefully you enjoyed being in the toon :)
Thanks for your kind comments and corrections, not something I can now amend, but have noted. It has been some years since I last visited, so you can imagine my enjoyment finally, especially having my time cut short by two cancellations on my outward train journey.
