Can you tell my the cost to the patient for this type of surgery? My american pitbull was just diagnosed with an intrusive lipoma which began on her glute , moved through the thigh and now seems to be moving lower on her leg. I was told that surgery isn't an option because of how the lipoma has invaded the entire leg. Do you agree with this diagnosis/prognosis, or should I get a second opinion? Also, on the same side, she has 6 little bumps resembling marbles all around her angle which the vet has been telling me for years is joint fluid leaking out. I'm so frustrated they keep telling me to leave it alone because surgery is risky (infection, potential amputation). They tell me she doesn't have cancer but haven't even done a radiograph. I live in central Maine and don't have many options for vet care. I feel stuck! :(

I have several questions about your technique. First of all if this is adenocarcinoma of anal sacs then you just removed the mass and not any tissue around ( 3cm of healthy tissue ). Why’s that?

Our dog recently had a terrible reaction to vaccines...that evening wobbly, hind leg paralysis, shaking...it took a few days to bounce back. The day after vaccines we found a cyst like lump that had popped up very fast...we know it was not there prior to vaccine day...on the upper ankle...not a vaccine site. After removal path came back sarcoma. I am wondering if it is a vaccine related sarcoma due to the issues all surrounding vaccine day

That trick with the adrenaline injected into the splenic artery was very cool. Nice to see that nasty bleeding eventually stop. My question is if making a small incision in the diaphragm and thus creating pneumothorax or even more adding a median sternotomy, would have help moving liver caudally and giving better exposure of the mass, thus helping not applying excessive traction on the mass and eventually avoiding bleeding? TIA and thanks for uploading.

Thank you so much for the video. I work at a non-profit clinic and learning this technique will be invaluable to so many patients, especially clients that can't afford full service veterinary care. Just completed my first FHO thanks to this video. Thank you for sharing your expertise; it was a great help!

I wish the doc had used a flap with my Allie because she kept popping stitches. She was 1.5 years old, Labrador retriever. Now, at 7 years old, I think she has a small one the doc needs to look at. It’s too small to test right now. What a terrible recovery for them! 10:33

I am a veterinary surgeon who has had my own practice for approximately 11 years. Thank you for the great content. YOU OWE US NOTHING AND WE CAN DEMAND NOTHING. However I watch your videos to learn and the surgeon's voice was muffled by surrounding sounds+ the view was obstructed during crucial parts of the surgery.Fixing those points will help us enjoy and learn from it more. It is intended as an educational video after all. Thanks again and GOD bless.

The surgery was performed by an excellent surgeon who has done many of these before, there were no long-term lasting effects, and it was something we should have done years ago, instead of trying to get it fixed with medication’s and ointments, shame on us

Hi there. Can you please share more about what happened at 12:18? The patient seemed to lose a lot of blood after something was accidentally damaged, which I know is a risk of this surgery. Did this cause any major complications for the dog post-surgery? Thank you.
