Have you tried these setups in VR? It brings it to life tenfold. Just have to start 5 mins a day for a couple of weeks to get over the motion sickness.
I was watching DOF reality guest chat on ytube. They are upgrading their rigs again from this month, starting with P rigs and later on H rigs. Will be Semi-assembled from factory with protective covers on motors?, will have e-brake and digital upgrade for gearboxes if I understood correctly. Thanks for sharing.
I am in the market for a DD. I am also on a CSW 2.5. Do you think my lap times should be more consistent even a little faster with the information from the alpha mini?
I don't think it will, at least not directly, the one thing that increases lap time over anything else is practice and the increased detail provided by the mini may make you want to practice more.
Old video I know. 2 DOF. With the motion set right, be it seat mover or full balanced frame,can give traction loss immersion as I know from experience, you "feel" the back end moving out.
interesting video. From what Ive seen over 10 years ago, with the development of software, codes, controllers, frame design, there are pros and cons to all, depending also, how fat your wallet is. Ive personally designed, built and tested at least 12 variations in 2 DOF racers, from wiper motors to the bigger worm gear motors that are more common now. Ive also paid to play on Dbox, and SCN sims, so I can compare but as the motion is not set how Id like it, its till good though. I have my ride still, some home built actuators I designed, and hand built run that. Screens moving with the rig, bad idea as seen in the video, just an expensive thing waiting to happen. Considering, when you drive a car, your eyes tend to stay on a fixed point, not moving around trying to follow. Theres plenty of discussion as to "realistic" motion as well, depending on whos ride and what it uses, if its a SFX actuator set up or DC motors. Big difference, the main thing is how the individual sets the motion for how they like it.
You only notice the monitors moving when are watching others play, not so much in the driver's seat. Yeah, one day they will break but they have held up for over 3 years now.

Hİ . I switched to the new control card. There is a good difference compared to the old one. I think you should get a new control card as soon as possible. monitors are really scary :) I use 49" samsung and it is not connected to the motion chasiss.
it's quite important to me because I've been saving for it for a while now and I really would like to be right.. you who have been able to try several movement simulators, I think you know what you are talking about. then I love it because you have a prosimu and you don't necessarily say it's the best (you're super honest and it's cool) I look forward to you can try Srs or simtool v3 so that you can enlighten me my friend. make a choice between dbox and p3, dbox only or prosimu.. (I'm a bit lost) in any case thank you for your precious advice and while waiting for feedback from the platform with SRS or simtool v3

@@SimsRUsThanks👍 I know that d-box is top level details but prs200 should be not bad at all (at least on paper) you should try the software simracing studio instead of simtools which is a gas factory.. then if you can, come back to me to tell me what you think. apparently the software is much much easier to handle and more intuitive .. then apparently the tactile effect (haptic effect) is also there. I don't really know but apparently a lot of people are saying good things about it.. keep me informed because I would really like to know if I should stay with my d-boxes or go on prs200. thank you a thousand times for your precious feedback having tested both systems;)
@@TheCastellani2009 I have used SRS for years and like it a lot but apparently I need to upgrade the PCB on my Prosimu platform to use it, I might do that but haven't priced it out yet.
@@TheCastellani2009 the P3 combined with d-box is absolutely amazing. My prosimu platform does not compare as it stands now but my control box is old, and I'm limited to Simtools 2.x on the software side. I'll have it upgraded in the coming weeks, then ill be able to unlock SRS and Simtools v3.x and I have high hopes of dialing in the motion with those
Gunfighter and gladiator pro hav all metal gimbal mechanism and superior sensors. Warthog has plastics inside. Not a competition. Also vkb can change springs and CAMS and it has superior precision. Regarding grips, in the meantime vkb released all metal mcg grip (MCG Ultimate).
Just sold my warthog. Just found it too big and heavy to use so extended flying and dogfighting was hard work on the wrist. Probably get the gladiator for the price and the positive reviews. I like the gunfighter 3 but the price difference means I can buy the second throttle and switches and still save money
You should look into the Omni Throttle adapter from VKB, because the problem with dual sticks is that you have 3 for/back or up/down and 3 left/right dimensions of motion with spaceships, but only 2 for/back or up/down axes and 4 left/right axes on 2 regular sticks. The tilted adapter fixes that. Alternatively you could add a pair of pedals.
What a awsome idea!!! You should do more videos! I'd love to pick your brain on this build. Any way you could do a video on the build or have a private conversation about how it's been 1 year later. I'm seriously considering going this route

I think the CSW is slightly more powerful but you wont feel much of a difference. I would just stick with the Ts PC and then maybe later upgrade to a Direct Drive
Very good video, but your audio is almost unintelligible. You speak softly, and your level is too low. Too bad, as when I turned the volume WAY up, you had a lot of interesting things to say.
Had the Warthog myself but returning it because it sticks around the center and wasn't much good for the helicopters or air to air refueling jets gonna miss the grip itself though it felt great in the hand as you said. Thinking of getting a couple of vkb gladiators with the clutch dampening or a gunfighter mk III in its place thanks for the comparison.
