I really liked that video. I'm just wondering if that is the same track the circus train was on in 2017, for the last time. I was the assistant trainmaster for Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey.
Lovely video. It really is the quintessential West Virginia winter scene -- light snow, train whistle echoing, and then the Cardinal booking past. It's been a few years since I've been on the Cardinal and this video makes me want to make a reservation tonight. :) Thanks for a great video.
@@allenclark338 If that's the street with Tudor's and the car wash then I used to live in the apts about a block from there across from the elementary school. I remember coming home on the Amtrak from a trip wishing they could just drop me off bc I could literally be in the crib in 2 minutes.
that was me June 23, 2021 on my bon voyage trip to Florida after shipping my belongings and driving my car down months prior. I miss you Chuck City and God Bless all my friends that are still there.
We grew up with model trains, and a new addition under the Christmas tree every year. Such a blessing. Thank you for sharing this. I got excited thinking it was in the CITY of Huntington (nearby!); So even more appreciative of the video, since the layout is in Columbus! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year, John! *Cheers!*
@@johnhodges4473 um I also belive the engineer giving the instructions name is also john, your lucky though there may be smaller historical lines that offer engineer for an hour programs but for the 765 it dont come along often, though there was some talk of doing the short sessions at the openhouse again in 2021, but who knows what the year will bring, plans come and go, things happen, it takes alot to just get the engine ready, I was this close to getting run time bought but had to run to the bank to put money in the account so I would have enough, and it timed out and of the three spots left they were all sold out by the time I got back, boy was I fit to be tied, but the openhouse at the pumpkin train was nice, got to sit and just talk with people, and learned some interesting stories from the road, and other projects people worked on, oh and finnaly met jarrod bennett that I hear so much about.
