"Being the voice of the user is not enough." Exactly! UX Strategy is an overlooked aspect of UXR, and helps us to turn our insights into actionable recommendations. Keep it up!
Great information! It seems like a Bachelors or a Masters in a related field is needed as the foundation and a UX bootcamp alone is kinda useless lol every company is looking for a background in hci, cog sci, or in your case marketing. Would love to hear you're perspective. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Qian, fellow UXR here 😊 I wholeheartedly agree on all of the facts. I’m fortunate that I have a manager who evangelizes UX in the company so I didn’t have to tell people what we do. I did find that involving people earlier in the research process helped get more buy-in. I also get less pushback although I learned this the hard way. Thanks for sharing your experience. Subscribed and looking forward to watching more of your videos!
Great video but I've more or less given up on UX Research as a career. I have a psychology degree and the potential for AI to generate pseudo Theory of Mind and other forms of human Insight have convinced me to abandon the career. No one will pay a human for these skillsets when AI can offer it, plus bring the power of large scale processing, more economically.
Thanks for the informative video! I’m also curious about your career journey as UX researcher. Most of people who currently work in this field recommend to get related degree and get internship opportunities from there. I’m so confused if that is the only option I have .. I think I found another video from ur channel thanks !
thank you so much for sharing, I'm definitely thinking if I wanna leave my manager or the company, someday~ Never thought about talking to people who left the target company until I watched this video, thanks again! 😄
Hi Your videos are wonderful. I want to apply for a UX researcher job at one of the most known banks in my country. I am thinking to make a case study tailored for they products and make a research plan. How would you approach it?
Hello! I’m currently studying English Literature in Turkey and I’m scared that I’ll pay for training and classes in uxr but no good company will hire me because of how unrelated my major is. I am a student so my financial situation is very limited atm. Do you think I should search for something else? Would it be safe to allocate time and resources into this?
Peep the "it depends" sticker :DDD great vid Qian!!! another reason to use slides: your website might GO DOWN during a live preso! can't depend on their servers!
Love the insight you gave for UX Research😀 I am from healthcare and am hoping to get into UX Design or Research as well, and even better if its a health care company. How do you do data analysis for you qualitative research when you have like around 50 participants?
Thank you for the support! For qualitative data analysis, my typical process is transcribing> code > affinity map. Here is a resource article from NNGroup that might be helpful for you: www.nngroup.com/articles/thematic-analysis/
