So Michael Wincott is the main bad guy you’re talking about (also from Alien Resurrection) And the actor who played T. Bird from “The Warriors” is David Patrick Kelley. I met him a few years ago when he came to my restaurant for a month straight. He is literally one of the nicest and coolest guys ever!
Love The Crow…definitely a film that I was obsessed with as a kid/pre-teen. Saw it on opening night, when I was not quite 12yrs old, at a local theater with some friends and it also served as my introduction to the Goth subculture. I’ll never forget it….before the movie started, a a group of 4 or 5 Goths, all dressed like Gary Oldman in Bram Stoker’s Dracula stood up and announced to the still-filling theater: “No one better talk during the movie. We know where to hide the bodies.” And one of them capped off the threat with “maybe we should hover around the theater?” 😂🤦🏻♂️
Hey guys, I'm finally listening to this old episode, lol. What was the Tammy and the T-Rex connection that Sean mentioned? I can't for the life of me figure it out, and I looked at both cast lists.
The first few comic stories are fantastic, the 94 movie is one of my favorite films, I really enjoy 2 and 3, and The Crow was my go to high school Halloween costume. I sadly had less and less interest in the 2024 movie the more they showed. I should have been the easiest person to sell this movie too. Like Sean said, who was this even made for? They seemed to really not get the point.
I loved the Crow: Stairway to Heaven as a tv show catching it around Highlander. Dacascos from Double Dragon was also on Iron Chef as a host. Kadeem Hardison (Dwayne Wayne) plays the Skill Cowboy a voodoo guy interestingly. That one season is harder to find on DVD in America than you might expect.
Great slasher and an incredibly underrated horror film in general, I actually got to meet Peter Cowper who played the Miner at Monster Mania and he signed a mini poster for me, I also have an original one sheet!
Imagine stepping into the MDU. Your best case scenario you enter into the wizard house and watch a bears game until you leave out of disgust by how they are treating Dobby. You step outside and at gunpoint are forced to take off your clothes by a creepy old lady in a wheel chair. You run naked to try and get away but cumdar kills you with his seed at 990 psi. You’re family tries to collect your remains but corpse fuck3r is having his way with the thing that used to house your soul. What a fun universe you all have created lol

As somebody chugging through, and currently in Season 3... It is a pleasure to hear mr. Mcgraw again. Great episode guys, y'all killed it. Now I gotta find get movie.
Technically, it's a re-adaptation of the comic, not a remake. Growing up in the 90s without a computer or any editing devices, I "edited" my movies in-camera by rewinding the tape to the point I wanted to cut, switching it back to record mode, then shooting over the unwanted footage. It was very difficult to time the switch at the precise moment I wanted to cut (cutting to exact frames was way out of the question), and the tape always recorded a second or so before/after I stopped the tape, so, obviously, the "editing" was often very sloppy, and I frequently recorded over footage I wanted. The more takes I did, the worse it got, and I often had to redo the previous scene I had shot. Compounding this was the fact that there was a few milliseconds delay between the time I pressed the record button and the camera actually started recording, so I had to estimate and adjust for that as well. Also, keep in mind that I usually made my movies all by myself, playing multiple characters, switching outfits between shots, having to use my best judgment in how well I was framed, and using a remote control to press record when I was out of camera range (always had to find a way to conceal the remote when my hand was in frame; the slight delay gave me a chance to drop the remote, but too often, it caught my hand movement.) Such a pain and frustration, especially to keep continuity, but I put up with it, because that's how much I loved making movies. (I didn't like editing by recording to another tape in a VCR because the cut point was even more imprecise, and it always left colored streaks over the picture at the beginning of every record point.)
You know, I always wanted to make a short based on an issue of the DC Hitman comics. When Tommy meets Superman on the rooftop in Gotham. It’s just them having a heart to heart chat about what it takes to be Superman, and living in America. I want to buy an actual video camera.
The first one takes place in Detroit. Second L.A. Sarah mentions it in City of Angels. I bought my ex wife a giant talking action figure of The Crow. We haven’t done it yet, but we plan on cosplaying from The Crow. Since I’m black of course I gotta be Tin Tin.

The ending of the new Crow confused me tbh. Like was all that just Eric’s way of dealing with death? Did any of the movie even happen after their death?
The writers and directors actually went to early Internet forums to ask the fans what they would want to see in a crow sequel when they were going to make City of Angels. However, the studio execs came in before it was finished and told them to make it just like the first one. Hopefully one day we’ll get the original version.
When I was 15 I bought the soundtrack for City of Angels just for a Korn B-side track called Sean Olson. That album made me a fan of Deftones and Filter
Let preface this by saying I love Movie Dumpster and anytime Joe guest stars on Hack the Movies. But for being a self-professed Crow fan, Connor was not the ideal guest. It clearly states the first movie is in Detroit and City of Angels is very clearly in LA. Joe even tactfully tried to correct him and he was adamantly ignorant. I really wanted to like this episode but he really ruined it for me. Which is a shame because he's clearly excited about the topic.
We’re human-we don’t know everything or remember everything, and that’s ok. Knowing or remembering the city is negligible in the bigger picture of what the movie is about and being well versed in its themes and legacy. Thanks for watching! 🙏💚📼
Christ! As a 90s kid who,like most,seen the original at far too young an age,thanks to a cool uncle, this shit just ain't it. As you guys have said I just don't get who this was for? It smells of someone somewhere desperatelying needing a paycheck and I hate the new kids saying "ah you just don't like it cause you can't let go of the first one". No you are 100% correct that I can't let go of passionate people making not only a comprehensive but compelling story with great acting and atmosphere. There's a reason it shaped some many of us and out of respect should've been a one and done. Sorry rant over,just glad I didn't give this shit my money. Great video as always guys,thank yous for the mad effort you always go to for us! 🤘
