Personally I don’t think there’s anything wrong with 30fps… so long as it’s stable. If it dips or the game experiences stutters then I totally get finding it ‘unplayable’. 60 is better experience for sure but to say 30 is unplayable is just elitist in my opinion.
I love your channel. You have shown me how to open up my ROG Strix and clean out all the dust and even upgrade the RAM and SSD. Appreciate your guidance on things. Quick question…. So the ROG Strix has that red plate thing at the top. Do u know what that is called and if u can buy a new one in a different colour? I’m looking to get one in blue If not, would it do harm to paint it?
Thank you so much for this video!! My laptop's fans were buzzing and I was TERRIFIED to open it, but your vid made me feel confident enough to open it up and fix it and now my laptop sounds like a brand new machine!! ^-^
another question brother do you play this alot ? in the past i have heard about stutters on warzone and weird driver issues with non nvidia cards but they might have been fixed
I will switch back and forth between PCs. So far it hasn't had any big stutters every one in a blue moon will see little ones like in this video. But I have those on my Intel and Nvidia PC too. So I think it's juster server lag or something. Or just something the game does every once in a while.
You could probably get it to launch into the Mod Realm, which would likely let you play online since I don't think EAC is needed for that. I could be wrong but might be worth investigating for anyone interested in this game for the Steamdeck.
It was for me at first but I seem to have fixed most of the issues other than the black screening thing. That keeps coming back to haunt me. Tho some guy offered a possible solution I should really try it out sometime. What's yours doing to you?
@@jakey5694 That's what I was suggested to fix the black screen issue. Was told the integrated GPU sucks and is why it does that. So I'll have to try that first thing in the morning.
Sometimes games stop working as the Steam Deck keeps getting updates. Have you tried using Proton GE? I sometimes have to use that to get games to work.
@@stevenfigueroa6624 it's a much better version of the software that helps us play games. This is the video I watched back when I got my first Steam Deck ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oCc6m8SaVJc.html but if you download that you might be able to get to work.
@@XxViciousxX 2 brands I've been telling myself to never get is Alienware and Asus, always just seemed like the temps were terrible with these brands but damn, didn't know it could be this bad even with a beefy cooler like this, I got a Legion 5 Pro and an IETS GT500 v2, setting the cooler to max my GPU temps are like 74c on the high end while pulling 150W on the GPU.
@@wolfstorm5394 The Alienware cools the GPU well it's like 65-70c depending on the game. But the CPU will be at 85-100c depending on the game. Unless I turned off the turbo, the G15 Advantage has always had 96c temps. The G15s GPU used to be much better though at 86c now it's around 88-90c even with the cooling pad.
@@riichobamin7612 The only one that this laptop has is you have to use the Dell drivers or else it will back screen. But my solution was to use this 1440p OLED monitor and the problem was solved. Unless I wanted to use it as a laptop I'd have to go grab Dell's outdated drivers to do that. I hope they get that fixed one day but I'm not holding my breath on that one.
Bro, can you also try Warzone ? It is a popular game and, most importantly, it is FREE😂. There is a game mode called "Plunder" where it is free roam and you have around half an hour to roam around the map, Urzikstan, without having to worry about the gas circle closing in.
I haven't tried Plunder but I do do Warzone 3 once I'm pretty sure I picked the mode with the most people but I could have gotten that wrong they are adding new modes from time to time. But here's the video for that if you feel like checking it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LhG87ds5Omk.html
Oh, I don't do handhelds while plugged in. It defeats the whole purpose of being a handheld. At least in my opinion. But it also would not have made much difference. Plugged-in helps out much more with CPU tasks if you want to encode a video or something it will help the CPU stay at its boost clocks. The GPU is not much different plugged in vs not so most games don't really get a big uptick in performance while plugged in. At least from my testing.
hey, do you think installing two individual 16GB ram sticks (instead of one kit) is advisable? I haven't found a lot of options for kits in local stores, only in Amazon. I plan on getting 2 sticks of 16GB crucial ddr4.
@@anyanyanyanyanyany3551 Ah sorry about that I guess I misunderstood the question. Some people say kits are more stable. But from my research, I can't find anything that actually confirms that. So I'd honestly just go with whatever is cheaper. But if you do get individual sticks just make sure they are the same (which I'm sure you already know but wanted to make sure).
bro my gpu stuck @ 100 watt max also my gpu stuck @ extremepowersaving ac / deleted everything reinstall win11 etc 10times default bios etc upgraded drivers nothing changes any idea u have ?
I actually did do a video on that game both 1080p and 1440p here's 1080p ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XYUC63pcayg.html and here's 1440p ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U6VwwYNNMkM.html mine was pretty smooth though had some sutter here and there but mostly smooth for me.
@@XxViciousxXit’s probably because i haven’t changed the stock RAM yet im still on the 16GB but i only have 8GB available because i guess something is taking up all my memory storage
That is actually the correct way to test... If you just play the game you're going to be at a different spot every single time making the frame rate completely different from more than just changing the settings. It may not be exciting but it's the best way to get FPS Data which is why I have been getting more and more subs as time goes on. If this was a bad way to test no one would sub or watch.
Yeah it's not the best way to play. I'd play this on a desktop with a keyboard and mouse. But for on the go it's not too terrible. Though I doubt even if I practice I'd ever be competitive on this thing.
Hi there Please research more before making a video lol This game runs great on steam deck... I play it myself... It's crashing because of some wine prefex you didn't download in the proton.. Just search there's a video explaining everything... It works 100%
Ah I didn't see anyone saying anything about that. I just saw people say it doesn't work just like Fortnight because Anti-cheat can't run properly. Or so they said. I wish it was a game I could just download through Steam then I could easily use the Steam Proton stuff.
I did fix it it was shutting down because I didn't have good contact between the GPU and the heatsink. After fixing that it hasn't given me anymore issues. But then again the issue was caused by me in the first place not anything the laptop did itself.
hey bro will you try egpu m2 nvme / maybe next time you transform that laptop to destop pc and you can put tower coolers / do something crazy on that laptop bro go wild :)
Yo dude, I'm kinda confused how you're running it at such high framerate. I have a 7800X3D and a Nitro+ 7800 XTX and I can barely scratch 90 fps on 4K Max Settings
You're very welcome. I miss doing videos like this I have too many systems to make videos on. Now so I will do like 1080p high, 900p med, and 720p low when I do Ally videos.
its just a m18 all AMD system it doesn't seem to have a specific model number its just a m18 with a 16 core AMD CPU and a 7900m GPU vs the Intel and Nvidia options you can pick.
I was wondering which monitor should i use to get better performance out of the laptop. I heard if you use a monitor that is hooked with the type c connector it increases the performance. Which type C monitor would you recommend that has around 140-160Hz
This laptop has a MUX switch so it does not get extra performance from an external monitor. I just like having a bigger screen and my laptop screen doesn't work with the latest drivers so using an external monitor is the only way to use this thing. Unless I disable the integrated graphics then I can use the laptop like normal. But then it would be hard for people to see in vids so I'd still just use the external monitor.
