The front section of this aircraft is now a musuem piece/Classroom near the Manchester UK airport, probably close to the building with the Concorde in it. A full History canbe found here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-A5Jk46_LI5Q.html
Shame that the dc-10 and monarch have long since disappeared altogether with the dc-10 long gone since their last ever flying in 2014 and as for monarch that airliner disappeared from active service exactly 3 years later
Great video! I flew in many of these, such an underrated aircraft, expertly flown here and nicely filmed, and that final approach…wow! Good stuff, 11/10!
The F27 was one of the most successful European airliners of its era. I see nothing but praise in the RU-vid comments under every F27 video. For a long time it was the best sold Western European Turboprop passenger jet (now surpassed by the ATR 72). How is it underrated ?
I was lucky enough to fly on concorde from LHR to Manchester in the summer of 1995. My dad booked us places to experience this amazing machine. I would love to find the original newspaper advert for the trips. Thanks for sharing.

Does RyanAir actually train their pilots to kaboom the landing? Even the best of pilots muff one on occasion but RyanAir seems to have made a national pastime out of it.
I have a home video of Concorde doing a fly over and land at Manchester on the 27 Aug 1995 filmed from the old viewing park. Strange that there is only one footage from this day on youtube which was filmed the hotel next to the runway, I would've expected one or two more, hard to believe that anyone other than myself and this other video had a camcorder as the viewing park was teaming with people watching it land. Today they'd be hundreds of videos uploaded filmed from peoples GoPros and smartphones, but it seems back in the days of old analogue camcorders noone seem to record anything eventful unless it was a family event, or they did but don't want to share the footage online.

I'n not aware of any paraglider training at Glenrothes, but Tayside Aviation offer fixed-wing pilot training there. There's also microlight training available at Balado near Kinross or the glider school at Portmoak nearby.
@@flyingboats21 The British had the first turboprop airplane, first auto land airliner. I never even saw a United Viscount but have seen an F 27 The Darts are screamers!
I just can't believe that the "old" queen (F27. C-8) we had in our hanger is this EXACT same plane. I knew it had some awesome stories, but omg it's fantastic to see how it could fly back in her days. Thanks for uploading this video 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Btw.... She doesn't fly anymore, she i being used for training purposes by the Dutch airforce.
Many thanks for your comment Jacob, I'ts always great to hear from somebody with a connection to the planes in the videos! It was an amazing display by the pilot, he certainly knew how to fly the F27! Where is she located now?
@@flyingboats21 she's located at the airbase of Eindhoven and is used as a trainer for aircraft maintencance technicians. Great pleasure to work on her as a part of my final year in college👍
This actually made me quite emotional, I'm at an age where I remember the Lightnings, Phantoms, Tornado's and Typhoons at Leuchars, so sad that it has been disbanded as a full RAF station. Seen many Phantoms scrambled during the cold War years. Great footage.
Thanks Steven, much appreciated. Yes, I remember the Phantoms, Tornados and Typhoons at Leuchars too. Always knew when there was a QRA underway when you heard the roar of the Phantoms in the middle of the night! Sad day when it was wound down as an RAF base and a very short-sighted decision in the light of current events.
