Well, I'm all for right-to-repair, but having also experienced similar things first-hand (opening a 3ds out of curiosity and somehow damaging a wire that is stupid hard to replace, causing the console to not turn on), I do know the risks that come with it. The most likely thing here seems to be the customer trying to scrape some dirt off something, slipping and thus breaking off their port. That said, things like building your own PC can be surprisingly easy
I got my laptop back from PP. it works great! it cost me around $300 total plus the box but it was worth it. even if it took two weeks everything works perfectly. theyre not a scam. great job!
Hi i have dell 7567 i5 7th gen with 1050ti my gpu temp limit is set to 74° only I can't increase it nvidia inspector can you help? I am running win 11 and I have tried downgrading bios to 1.10.0 too
You do not want it to go above 74. If you want more performance without thermal throttling, you must get a laptop cooler that forces air into the laptop.
... or Microsoft moment and their automatic BIOS updates without asking you. The next thing you know is on the next restart, you see the BIOS updating, and you just shut the lid and put it back into your backpack, not knowing that your laptop was at a crucial moment.
Hi I'm from philippines how I wish i could send my dell laptop there or maybe pls help me trouble shoot. My dell inspiron 7306 2in1 starts flickering :(
Screening flickering- depending on when it is happening, there could be a number of causes. Does it flicker when you are on battery only? This would be a charger issue, DC jack, or charging circuit. -Does it flicker when you are opening the lid? -- this would point to a bad LCD cable -Does it flicker with normal use? -- this would point to a bad LCD panel I hope this helps. No, not for what I am doing. I am just replacing a portion of the BIOS chip. For example, when I pull all the contents off of a BIOS chip, that is 16MBs, but the extracted BIOS from Dell is only 9MBs. I find the correct area to replace and leave everything else. I am not replacing the ME region for this type of recovery.
Had seen the same problem also on other computers. This soldered on BIOS chip is a design flaw, which costs consumers a lot of money. Also because it seems that microsoft rolls out buggy bios updates sometimes, which then fail.
I agree!. This is how I explain it to people. Microsoft and their automatic BIOS updates without asking you. The next thing you know is on the next restart, you see the BIOS updating, and you just shut the lid and put it back into your backpack, not knowing that your laptop was at a crucial moment.
ummm.... All laptop manufacturers use proprietary parts to build their laptops. Even framework laptops are proprietary to the parts they make for them; they just offer a better upgrade path for their older machines.
@@dellpartspeopleummmmmm...... I'm taking about desktops. I know it's a bit of topic, dell just keeps causing me issue, because dell normally doesn't use standard atx board sizes, in some cases even custom power connectors! And I've also had issues where the drivers they offered where horribly outdated and caused stuff to simply not work
