Dang, this is an awesome track. Slick Rick is the only rapper I know to smoothly use the term “jerkoff” and make work well (where you think we gettin all the jewels from, jerkoff?!?). His version of The Godfather’s theme is great. No need to censor, and still goes hard.
Hi, they are specific to the SF servers, and these colors are an older version of the Equalizer code. You would have to play on those servers for the current colors, or reach out to the code author(s) for the older colors.
I frequent other Source communities, which I expect is why the algorithm has blessed me with this video. That being said, I'm primarily an Overwatch player, where I find the scrub mentality is especially applicable :)
Localhost server does that, unfortunately, even with a standard server config, at least the same one I used to run a server recently. If you only bhop standing it will be smooth, but adding crouch makes it stuttery... So get your feet wet and try to find a low ping server that is welcoming to new players :)
Imagine if someone made a War Of The Worlds adaptation and they used the strider's as both the martions and the tripod's that be kinda cool well to me it would be 😅
Reminder of a time long passed, people playing games just to play them because they're fun. No ladders, no matchmaking, no ranked or climbing, just a bunch of people bullshitting around on a video game they love.
I can agree from the outside it might look like it could be boring to watch if you never got into it. But you can't judge what it's like to play something without actually playing it. This game or any game, really. Unless it's a genre you already know you won't appreciate, or with elements within that genre that you simply cannot stand, even when playing with friends. If you never got or tried to get higher than 'slightly above average' in a game, this video or this game might not be for you, and that's OK.
If you like this map in particular, check out www.youtube.com/@HL2DMTV and search dm_octagon for full games on this map, plus many many more matches on a variety of other cool maps.
i can't quite tell if this is what you're doing but i also flick then shoot instead of constantly tracking. I'm really good at flick shots but am really bad at tracking lol
This POV is by Ninjins. There's definitely many aiming techniques, some work better per specific weapons, and some are just preferred style per player.
Yeah I'm a flick player. I can rarely track. It comes from playing quake 2 instagib with 200 ping way back when dialup was all we had. I always drag my cross hair across the screen until I pass over the enemy. Unless it's something like smg or ar2 then I try to track.
Well made vid and also exactly why I quickly left competitive play once gaining the base skill to play. It's exhausting to go up against this, counter or chase. It's also not particularly entertaining to watch, thus I believe it played a part in arena shooters falling out of esports favor. It's exactly as you said, you're playing the map, not the player, and with much of the angles and such being known, everything gets samey quick. Kinda like how Chess isn't fun to watch unless you know Chess.
I see it as a push to get further/higher til you meet those few strong opponents that force you to play the player. Does not get any better than that :) OK, the only way it gets better than that is meeting those few strong opponents in paid! competitive scenarios like the one presented here. And for the watching part. Even though I suck at chess, I played both One Pocket which some call the chess of pool, and Snooker (chess of pocket billiards) and I enjoy watching both because I understand them. But they both have smaller viewership than 9ball, so yea I understand what you mean. It's just the nature of some games and sports... Whether they are popular or not, once you get into them, not even at a deep level, you can enjoy them forever.
