This is pretty dope!! That's one hell of a pond. I love me some water math. 1 surface acre of water that's 1 foot deep is called an "Acre Foot" of water. It's how lake water measured. 1 acre foot = 325, 951 gallons of water. If he makes it over 3 feet deep, it will be about 1 million gallons. I've been at a course where we built a 5 million gallon irrigation lake. Thick liners just come in rolls and they are fused together with a fancy type of heat gun. It's a neat process to watch but boring as hell to do. He defiintely has a hell of project in his hands, but it will be bad ass when it's done. Thanks for sharing with us!!

That's going to be a sick pond. I had a bass pond about a quarter of that size going with bass and catfish. There is a good place up in Sacto to get bass from. I forgot the name but if you Google it, it comes up in the search

I would suggest to prevent killing all bacteria at once to clean the rooms one by one with at least two weeks in between. And wash them gently in a big bucket en flush them in there instead of the gardenhose. With high pressure you flush a lot of good bacteria away as well.
Drip lines only help for temperature aclimating. When you mix water from where the fish are going and add it to where the fish are, it does not help aclimate except for temperature. All the drip acclimation does is mix water from one source to another, creating different water parameters than either the tank the fish are going in and where they are. This actually fully stresses the fish out, and then they are put in water with different parameters.
I am eight I have four African cichlids and I do not know how to do that and I just kind of search set up on my Siri to get the answer cause I wanna know what gender my fish are.
And the nicaraguan cichlid is a male and unfortunately the females has better color like the salvinis . So unfortunately he won’t be blue instead he will be a tan yellow and brown very gorgeous cichlid tho!!!!
