Back around the middle of 2000, my wife and I started recording and interviewing singers and musicians of the 50's and 60's, with many reaching to the present day with their performances. This channel is dedicated to the people who brought us R&B, Doo Wop, Rock, Soul, and Pop of that by gone era whose music will forever travel the digital airways. This channel is also dedicated to RazaHookUpz. I concentrated on the Badist Oldies and my wife did RazaHookUpz back in mid-2000. I will be putting up video of interviews and shows recorded of rap artists that we obtained as RazaHookUpz. Look for other odds and ends in the form of compilations on this channel to keep it interesting.
That address he gave was a WEBSITE, not an email address. It’s too bad Lolly smoked. It increases your chances of having a stroke, getting cancer, or heart disease. It destroyed the last 15 years of Lolly’s life, but he seemed to keep doing it. He wound up dying of lung cancer. He was such a nice man. RIP Thank you for posting this.
Absolutely 💯 agree 👍🏻. The 70’s were so open and free! I wish everyone today could have that freedom when, where I was from California people were people not all this crap like today! Black, white, brown, you could do and be what you set your mind to no one held you back but yourself just like today but then no one was crying over things except death
RIP Lolly, one of the best guitarists of the 60's and 70's. Hendrix said Lolly was one of his favorite players. That is bonafides!!! I loved the Creole influence he brought, Redbone could get thick and swampy!!
I sing Come And Get Your Love to myself all the time at work and around the house and have loved it every since the first time I heard it. Those were some great guys and created some great timeless music. They are missed.
This man was a pioneer in writing catchy tunes, deeper contemplative songs with important societal messages, and complex improvisational pieces. I first heard Redbone from my brother's album collection in 1970 when I was eleven years old. I am so blessed to have experienced this man's work, and I am forever touched by his creativity. God Bless Lolly Vegas and Redbone.
Redbone-come and get your love is my favorite song of all time. And I’ve listened to a lot of music. I’ve decided out of all the stuff I’ve listened to, this is my favorite song ever.
I have been binge watching each and every you tube video., interview, anything and everything about Redbone. I have loved them since I was a young girl. I listen to them daily!!! Now that I am retired… seeing his paintings… I soooooo would love to purchase one… He is a beautiful man… Sooo sad he died. Pat and his kids and adorable also on you tube and tic Tok.
One of a kind rock band from the '70s. The "Come and Get Your Love" song is a timeless song, a true classic. May Lolly Vega rest in peace, and God, Jehovah, bless him.
Love the Native Indian culture. Beautiful family🌷 My great-great grandmother full blooded Cherokee Indian. We have her picture dressed in Beautiful Indian Attire.
