I remember as a kid watching this when it was first televised. George, the Rector had told Fiona how his parents were very shy and was afraid George would frighten them, in a previous episode. I couldn't help but notice, there's nothing shy about them. It's obvious the Rector wanted to keep them away for the opposite reason!

Terry Killeen, or the actress who played her, reminds me of Detective Amanda Rollins a little, played by Kellie Giddish in Law and Order SVU. They both have the same blonde hair (different styles though) and a similar facial expression. I don't blame Dick Moran for having such a crush on her!

Glennroe similar to fair City , first their talented actors. But problem with Glenroe downfall , was its own downfall, they didn't up their game by having on (1) 3 days a week. (2). Relied on same characters. (3) The Scripts. Plus in those people had only RTE to watch.

As I sit here in New York watching this in 2024, as a Kid in 80s Ireland, I was too young to watch political interview’s Rte , But watching it now , I’ve one observation, you have 6 British Government Tools attacking One True Irishman, who did his Forefathers proud , of Resisting Tyranny, My Family in Kerry were fighting Cromwell with Viscount Muskerry , makes me sick that the Elites In Ireland like Gay sold out to our Slave masters , Gerry Adams is a Gaelic Warrior in the Spirit of Hugh O’Neill and my hero Big Fellow Mick Collin’s , if they were on the panel they would be calling them Murderers too , pack of Traitors!!!!

Thank you for your comment RTE owns the copyright not the original uploader, their efforts are acknowledged as being the original uploader No one knows when video material will be removed or accounts closed down so the more people who share it the better in order to preserve it for everyone to see If you have a problem with that, I acknowledge your opinion and thank you for taking the time to comment and remember unless we purchase the copyright it belongs to RTE, we should be thankful they haven't made an issue

Gay Byrne was too shallow & so the worst interviewer for any serious issues on his show. He simply was not educated enough to delve into issues with an open & informed mind! If he doesn’t like his guests he tries to patronise them or insult them or goad them into losing their patience with his silly interviewing. Gerry Adams was too clever & articulate for all of these arrogant southern Irish prats!

Funny while Gerry was eager on several occasions the attempt on his life he didnt mention that it was an off duty UDR man who returned fire on his attackers and saved his life which is the same when Bernadette Devlin / McAliskey was seriously injured , her life was saved by a Parachute Regiment Medic . I wonder if EITHER ever thanked the people who saved their lives

‘A statelet that didn’t recognise my rights as a human being’. Gerry Adams. Isn’t that the case in Ireland today? Yet Adams & his Sinn Fein support the denial of the rights of the Irish to have a voice in who comes into their country, into their community. SF have been changed beyond recognition.
