Welcome! This is the channel for beginner cyclists! Or really, anyone who enjoys riding a bike. Most non-competitive forms of cycling will be approached on this channel through the lense of a beginner like me. I try cycling life as a perpetual beginner.
Liked my first one in 2012 so much, I bought another one a decade later. Since I was in the desert riding daily, the bag did age and end up looking light gray, panniers and all, but it was still durable. And I would make one bike trip to the grocer each week, load up the panniers, the trunk, and ultimately still need to hang a bag or two on my handlebars. -- All in all, good bag/rack system to have.
For city and paved riding it's great. We actually sold ours though because my wife wanted bigger, more kushy tires so ended up with a Like Bike....stay tuned for more about it:)
If it were not for videos like this, I would not have known that Village Greens Park added all those small jumps and berms in 2023. I've been there a few times in summer 2024 and it is much more fun than before.
That is a solid no sir...the pictures on Chrome's website make it look bigger than it is...phone, snack, keys, garage door opener ....maybe a beer...that's what I fit in it
The video is good but when you were pointing the parts on the bikes the autozoom was changing the whole time and it was quite unpleasant to watch. Try to turn it off when doing those shots for a smoother experience.
Given the part of Denver, if you get a bike stolen again, I would grab a couple of well armed friends and check the Nine Mile camp, high chance a bike stolen in SE Denver will end up there.
Evergreen Mountain is like the perfect blue trail. You did it in the better direction, the west side is the shorter and easier to clear climb and the east side is the much faster, longer and flowier downhill. Summit trail is also absolutely worth doing. Once you learn it and get used to downhilling, Evergreen east is a blindingly fast downhill run, one of those runs that makes you feel like a downhill racer. I like to call Evergreen east the training run for Cub Creek, both are chunky, VERY fast downhills, though Cub creek is an out and back and you have to climb up it first, it's like the black rated version of Evergreen.
Pretty sure nowadays, with standard wheels/tires like that you won't have to worry about wheel theft....if they were carbon rims, then yes it's likely.
You are to trusting. Out here in the real world if it's locked down they get pissed and stomp your wheels. I've even seen just the seat post taken because it wasn't locked up! Cordless metal cutting tools make all of this Mute.
I'm 5'11....the stand over is a bit snug, but I have a short inseam for someone my height...30'' The OG X I had before was a medium and I did feel a little cramped...so far I like the large , might get a slightly shorter stem...
I've had this bike so far since December 2023 and I love it!! I've upgraded the saddle and seatpost (both carbon fiber), new wheels (JG Bike), new tires (Tufo Thundero gravel), and clipless pedals. This thing can keep up with road bikes!
Stop playing with children’s toys in the street and you won’t have this problem. Sufficient infrastructure exists, it’s called the side walk, you even get your own traffic light. If there’s no sidewalk, you don’t belong there, get out of the street.
Bike Lanes is just a waste there's an empty sidewalk you're out in the street it's not safe causing problems with traffic they never should have been made
I used a single speed conversion kit from Amazon...there are many ways to set up a bike single speed...I'll probably make a video soon to discuss how you can do it:)
Good start for the hops!! Try compressing the fork first to help force the front up (while pulling). Once the front comes up, same hope you're doing (it's all about the JUMP). For the record, I suck at explaining things so hopefully you'll understand what I mean. Being over 50 and out of shape, I say... YOU WILL DO IT!! Don't listen to people who say you can't. You only can't until you can (what I always told my kid when training Parkour).
@@milehighbiker I've spent the last week looking for this video. I finally found it and wanted to share it with you because I think it's one of the best tutorials for a bunny hop (the whole series on trials is really good too). Hope this helps!
