Same error,.abs not communicating, relay not working,. the relay should have a constant plus, that's fine, but the wire that connects to the relay has no function,. following the installation, the wire towards the fire wall above has broken at the height of the bonnet opening handle -(engine cover) ! Tracing the wire will find you a break! Good luck!
The gasket to the oil filter housing is my re-do this weekend on my 2018 SQ5. I already paid the dealer for this returned the car twice for the leak NO MORE they are hacks. I hate car dealers service dept. they are crooks for sloppy jobs overpaid for lack of care!
Could be either EWS or the DME. A scanner will read codes and possibly reset both but if either has gone bad will need replacing. Check your battery, grounds, and bypass the EWS to see if it cranks. That will rule out ignition module and starter. This is possibly the worst issue to deal with - I gave up and sending my E46 to local deal dealership. There aren’t even any Indy’s nearby that could help. Have to take a hit on this one.
They actually do make an aluminum coolant flange/thermostat housing. Bought mine from Aliexpress. No forums that I've found mentioned it, which makes me think this is a new product addressing an old problem (granted, these engines aren't that popular in the aftermarket/performance world) where the plastic warps overtime with multiple heating cycles, same as the oil filter housings (my S4s flange is made out of aluminum from factory). But you're definitely gonna need it! I've been through 3 already in the last year till I bought it. Even tried putting a layer of RTV down in the groove, then the gasket right before it fully cured to make it twice as thick (didn't do the trick long term either). Don't feel too bad you didn't know about it. JUST changed my PCV on my A4 and had no idea there was an aluminum pipe available. Mine broke EXACTLY where you stated (had to remove the thermostat w/o removing the crossover pipe to get the rest out; pretty difficult that way but easier than the process to take the whole pipe out). Didn't expect it as the one on my S4 didn't break (over 100K less miles, however). Bought a new plastic one on Amazon. Would've went to aluminum if I had known. Hope your new water pump is the improved design with aluminum blades instead of the oem version with plastic ones...😊
I drive a 2017 Audi Q7 I had my check engine light come on and off within like 2 hours time. This happened 2-3 weeks ago.. I scanned it right when it happened and it came up with a code for “super charger sensor” then disappeared… Nothing noticeably different while driving what’s so ever.. but a day after the code popped up and went away I start hearing a weird clanking/grinding like noise only when idling, As if one of my pulley went bad. I tell this mechanic that looked at it yesterday exactly what I just explained right.. So he looks at it and tells me that my supercharger was the cause of the noise, as well as the supercharger pulley tensioner.. Last night I have another guy look at it and without even taking it apart he looks, listens and tells me within 10 mins that it’s my water pump pulley that is bad. He’s 1000% sure not my supercharger. He said I would’ve had black smoke coming from my exhaust , loss of power along with some type excessive whining; in which none of this I experienced.. In your experiences and from the sound of this situation ; what are your opinion’s on this? Every answer and/opinion is greatly appreciated and will save me a few strands of hair that I have left on my head
I have exactly the same situation with the serpentine tensioner. Good lesson thatbyou should always change the tensioner at the same if you don't wan't to do it twice.🎉
