I didn’t get to Nashville this year, but was at many others including Chicago, Asheville NC, Lake Tahoe, Detroit, and Gettysburg. During the Lake Tahoe National I also made a video you may like of the antique wooden boat show, which is on RU-vid. Thanks for the comment.

At 1:25, that is not a 1964 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 11 as that body style with the 6.23L V8 was produced from 1959 (sold as a 1960 model) to very late 1962, prior to the introduction of the Silver Cloud 111, at 2:54, that Rolls Royce Silver Shadow is an earlier model from between 1965 (as a 1966 model) to around 1976 before the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow 11 was announced. Technically speaking, they're not sedans, they're "saloons" - as named by the British. Still, a more than excellent video of these lovely cars (which I have had the pleasure of judging at our annual concourse from time to time) so MANY thanks for sharing this clip. I really enjoyed this video. My late father purchased the 04 coupe preproduction as well as the sedan in 05. Pivotal times as I was a boy. Because my enthusiasm still continues today in my 30s I had the chance to work for Bentley as a buyer for one the dealerships
Very nice video. Is the gathering an anual thing or are there other meets and such? I am curious, we attended our first Concours last year in Newport and loved it. I think Rodd Sala is in that area and I have always said I was going to see his place. Thanks for the nice images
Yes, there are several Lake Michigan Region events of the Rolls Royce Owners Club throughout the year, but the Concours is only once per year. The other regions around the country (and in England) have lots of meets and their own Concours. If you look through my Carmance Channel in RU-vid, I have various car meets both national meets like Detroit, Gettysburg last year, Lake Tahoe, etc, and local such as Lake Michigan region and Southern California region. Rodd Sala is in this LMR part of the RROC. He even had an event at his workshop teaching us methods of restoration.

It is a beautiful medieval home / castle in Kent, England, still open to the public. The Astors were an American / English family. Lord Jacob was the son of William Walfdorf Astor, he was born in Manhatten, but moved to England when he was 5 years old in 1891. He became a newspaper baron, and politician, amongst many other interests. He would have been around 61 when he bought this Bentley.

Good question. The value is in the fun we have with the cars. If the price goes up or down is unrelated. You can drive the cars around and have fun with friends and family. Gold is a great investment but you can’t drive it around.

Wouldn't she smile if I bought one of Richard's cars! She was born in 1957. I was born in 1959. Our family left the Los Angeles area in November of 1966 to move to Texas. Been here ever since. Our sister Karen was stillborn in 1955. She is buried in common crypt in the Los Angeles area, Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica.
In the Petaluma ski club; sitting on the gunwales when underway was a major no no. Years ago a guy fell out and there x was a runaway boat. Even if you weren't driving you could get run over by your own boat.
Much of the video was about the owner and his social projects. While admirable, a video about a car should be about the car! A sick engine should be addressed before using the car as a subject of a car video. Appears the owner has sufficient funds to have a tear down and rebuild of the 6.25 litre.
