I have a capra 4ws and just installed thr fusion pro 2300kv 540spec and when i power down the vehicle the motor spins abruptly and im trying to figure out if thats normal
Was it a clanking, like steel on steel? Or just the wobbling like you said. I can't figure mine out. Definitely better with snow in it. Everything is tight. I mean I'm thinking I bent something. Auger looks like it spins level, balanced.. & so does impeller
Aha, I had the same breakage when I shaved down the link mount when I dropped in the Hobbywing Fusion SE. Weakened the crap out of the connection point and it broke on a bad fall. I replaced it with a PETG 3d printed skid (where I was forced to remove the dig servo) and then _that_ broke when I got into a bind. Finally gave up on all the hackery and went with the Vader skid as well - should get here on Wednesday. Plus I can put my dig servo back in! Looking forward to the upgrade.
Subbed and liked!! When I did my skid n my sporty Capra build and it didn’t work. Move up link mount on chassis side. Those skids do suck. Can’t beat the fusion!
Correction! The sheer pins are not there to protect the auger blades from bending but are there to protect the auger transmission brass worm gear. Also Do not go bigger or smaller on the sheer pins. Replace with OEM and replace both of them. Don’t forget to grease the auger shafts! If the auger rusts to the shaft the shear pins are non functional and you will destroy the brass worm gear. One last thing! Pull the wheels and anti-Seize the axle shafts every season! If the wheel hubs rust to the axle the only thing that you’re able to replace are the belts! 😀
I've had this thing 10 years and just discovered that you can adjust the tension pulley... Problem I'm having now is the impeller shaft/pulley moves a lot and contacts the tensioner pulley arm and sparks. I can't figure out how to fix the slop
Can you confirm on how many gallons your fuel tank is on your generator Harbor Freight is stating that this is a 8 gallon tank on this generator but I believe it's more of a 7 gallon or maybe even a 6 but not an eight because I'm looking for a replacement tank for mine and all I see is 6 and 7 gallon tanks not 8 gallon so I think it was a marketing a sales pitch does the advertised on the box that it was a 8 gallon
Great review, I have a cub cadet that attaches to my tractor. It’s a belt drive, I live in the Buffalo area. The Cub blower is junk, belt slips and burns. I think this is the tank for me! Thanks!!
I absolutely love it!! I’ve done regular service on it each year and I have had zero issues. No matter what kind of snow I’m working in it throws it no problem, even the wet slushy crap!
I’m currently upgrading my Capra I have it taken apart & have the Vader skid ready to install I have the Fusion to install so I went with the Vader skid to get it in correctly. This seems like it’s going to be a great upgrade. I’ve had my Capra for quite along time but have not done anything to it other then a Reefs front servo & metal beadlocks so it was tie to update it. I have 2.2 wheels & tires overdrive gears & 90 mm Desert Lizard shocks.
Running into the same issue with my Capra build. I shaved the Treal skid link mount down to the point where the motor sort of fit, and it’s a bit thin for my liking. I was between the Vader and the Rock Pirates skid, I ended up going RP so I can run an SCX10 style trans. Great video explaining this!

E10 is E10, doesn't matter if it's regular or hi test. The octane level does not effect the percentage of ethanol in the gas. No need to buy any higher octane than specified by the manufacturer.
I really like mine! I have used it for 2 years, but the tabs that hold the locking lid on broke now I have to hold the lid down for it to work. A replacement lid is on backorder. I will however buy a new one of these. I use the setting in between medium and fine and 12 cups. I use a funnel drip (there hole) and the grind is perfect and consistent!
