The Narrator ie referred to as "Jack" in the script of the movie, Tyler Durden is a hallucination with it's own personality that embodies/takes control of The Narrator's body :)
@@Howesenberg No my attention was only drawn to them BECAUSE they were censored lmao. I’m not looking at Rhea Seehorn’s 52 year old feet. Not that she’s a bad looking woman, but come on man. I’m assuming there’s an inside joke from your channel or something lol
Lizzie is absolutely incredible. Finding a child actor who can portray that range of extreme emotion in a convincing way - and to do so while depicting an autistic character is a very rare thing. Just compare her acting to Carl's and it's night & day. I don't think they could have telegraphed her condition more without turning her into a caricature. I get why some viewers found it confusing, but I think the show absolutely nailed it. "Look at the flowers" is also such a good nod to John Steinbeck's 'Of Mice & Men' which concludes in a similar way. Lenny, an almost certainly autistic character, accidentally but well-intentionedly kills a person, and his brother has to shoot him to prevent the two of them from being lynched for it. The brother famously keeps Lenny calm by asking him to "tell me about the rabbits" while holding a gun to the back of his head.
In the beginning of the movie Tyler has the gun in the narrators mouth. He says “any last words?” Narrator says “I can’t think of anything” End of movie, same scene. Tyler says “any last words” Narrator says “I STILL can’t think of anything”
There was a secret boxing club at my high school that happened every Friday during the final lesson in the old school gym that we all called fight club
"His name was Robert Paulson, his name was Robert Paulson" is what everyone chanted last time I saw a midnight showing of Rocky Horror Picture Show when Meatloaf appears 😂🤣
Definitely (one of) the best quote(s) of the best movie ever in the thumbnail ❤ Going to see this in theaters Saturday, so stoked. My fav movie, but never seen on the big screen (by me) before.
Hey American here, when you said Sasha with the scope shooting pictures outside Alexandria was almost impossible to miss because the scope... yeah no, shooting is quiet a difficult skill to develop, and a scope doesn't make anything easier except for sight picture(What you see when aiming down). Also in the apocalypse, scopes would not be ideal, most use batteries and if you loose your "zero" you'd have to waste precious ammo to try and re sight your scope. Unless you're trying to hit zombies from 300m+, Iron sights are probably the way to go. Not trying to be an "Um actually" guy lol, you seemed curious if you were "chatting sh*t" so I'd thought I'd let you know. Love the vids!!!
Thanks for the info, yeah I'm the type of guy that doesn't mind saying something inaccurate as well as making it clear that I I'm open to learning why I'm wrong. Glad you still enjoyed the video!
I had thought that maybe he was trying to kill himself but just missed, and the fact that he went through with it caused Tyler to disappear. A lot of people who attempt to off themselves w a firearm miss the shot due to hesitation or a last second change of mind. Thoughts?
I see it as a call back to the idea that you shouldn't meditate yourself into ignoring reality (like Tyler taught him when he was burning his hand) Being willing to shoot himself in a very painful way, was how he could get rid of the imaginary and be at one with what's happening, a way of passing his final test of sorts. That could be a massive stretch hence why I didn't go into that idea too much.
Chuck Palaniuk is one of my favourite writers, but I don't live as though I'm a character in one of his stories, which makes me a well balanced man. I am socks distaste for dumpster diving.
Also, I think that creepy goth girl who played the nazi girlfriend American History X should have been cast instead of Helena Bonham Carter, who I don't like because she's an insufferable rich kid playing "punks" to annoy their parents. Faruza Balk, thats who would have been better.
