Hi there! I'm Ivie, a Disneyland local who loves traveling and all things Disney. I love sharing our adventures with you, to hopefully give you tips, tricks and our reviews when planning your next vacation. Whether you're doing recon for trip planning, or just need a dose of magic, I'm happy you're here and I hope you subscribe to follow each adventure.

Hi there! We stayed in Poipu. I liked staying on that side of the island vs. Princeville. There were plenty of resorts, shopping and places to eat - but also centrally located for day trips. Plus Hanapepe is one of my favorite places and it was an easy 15-20 minute drive.
@@ivie_anne thank you! I like beach time, but I’m at heart a foodie. Hanapepe looked so lovely from your previous cruise video. That food from Bobbie’s 🤤
Did you know 1 of the only wineries in Hawaii is about 5 mins from Kilauea national park? There’s also a lava museum & lava trees national park in Pāhoa. It’s only a 10 min walk through the lava tube.
For financial and caffeine purposes, we shared 😂 We also figured since we like different “flavors/profiles” of coffee, someone would like each one more and could finish it.
I loooooove iced coffee but Disneyland can’t seem to get it right. I’d take the cocoa puff iced coffee over all others. 😂. AJ and the ashtray comment 😆😂
Great video! The clacking part of the sound sounded like when the hangers bang together when the ship is moving. No idea what the other noise was though!
I am just now watching this video 😊 so sorry about the heat meltdown... I live here and I have a heat meltdown just going to the store sometimes it gets so hot.... If you are coming this summer it's going to be 110 to 115 be safe 😊😊
We went late and some vendors had closed. It was rather underwhelming, we stayed maybe 10 minutes. IMO: I would not go out of your way to include it. Let me know what other questions you have!!! I’m so excited for you, we enjoyed it a lot.
@@ivie_anne Oooo that's really good to know! Yeah we have two days in nawiwili, one in Kahului, one in Hilo, and one in Honolulu, so we are just trying to find the best options for things to do! So if you have any more recs that weren't in your videos, that is highly appreciated!
I recently posted a video on Kauai! We went back and spent 5 nights and did things we missed out during the cruise. Including some incredible local eats, so check that one out! For Hilo, I LOVED going to Volcanoes and wish we had more time there. I would have preferred spending 1 more hour there vs trying to fit in the farmers market. I would love to go back though! If you’re exploring on your own, my recap of the cruise breaks down all of our prices too!
Late to the party but would you recommend the cruise and 3 days at Aulani or just do longer time at Aulani and forego the cruise?? Love your videos I’ve been binging them the last few days
Ooooh that’s a tough question because there are SO many factors. I LOVED the cruise and am so happy we did it - I love cruising with Disney Cruise Line, but it was also a great way to see islands I’ve never been too. I would think it would come down to these factors: 1) Budget. What makes the most sense? With the cruise you have expenses of excursions, or exploring on your own. With Aulani, you have more food to cover for more days. Is one totally out of the question or is there a way to do both. 2) Other Islands. How important is it to you to visit other islands (and Vancouver). 3) Cruising. Have you cruised before? Do you enjoy cruising? 10 nights is a long time, but it’s also so special being on a ship with the crew for that long. Having done it, I wouldn’t change what we did. I feel like it’s easier to go back to Aulani than island hop. Plus I LOVED our time in Vancouver and we wouldn’t have gone if it wasn’t for the cruise.
@@ivie_anne you are so sweet!! I love this breakdown and definitely something to consider!! I think the way you guys did it is the best way because you have a nice vacation, a lot with hopping, but then a short break again at Aulani. Your videos have been so so hopeful for us and planning. Might do a last minute decision and book the one for September this year. Thank you so so much!!
Did You Know That DUFFY SHELLIEMAY And OLU MEL Is There At AULANI Because That's Where I Want To Go On My 30th Birthday In 2026 2 More Years And I'm Gonna Meet Characters Like DUFFY And SHELLIEMAY And Other Characters There As Well Because I've Never Been To DISNEY AULANI HOTEL Before But I Do Want To Go There
Thanks for the great Aulani and from previous videos DCL content. We are set to book Vancouver to Hawaii next week and have 2 days booked at Aulani post cruise. It will be our first time.
We are coming to Hawaii/Aulani for the first time in Oct for 8 days. We are so excited. If my son actually saw Kevin Owen’s he would’ve flipped out. Very cool he was there.
Hmmmm now you have me thinking of my top 5 🤔 Based on food and ambiance, in no particular order I’d probably say: Topolino, Toledo, Sanaa, Flying Fish - no strong #5 is coming to mind…
If you haven't already found out, you can request a tea kettle at DVC WDW resorts. Not sure if they all do, but we have managed to get one everywhere so far. It was a game changer when we found that out.
Yes! We keep a small one in our owners locker! But we request a larger one when traveling with our family. I wasn’t sure what was going to be available at Aulani and I always travel with a packable one 😉
