Great video. I wanted to see how the Fountain House looked because it is mentioned in "Black Wind, White Snow", a book about modern Russia. I read that in 1921, after the Communist Revolution, the homes of the nobility were seized & made into homes for poor families. Famous poet Anna Ahkmatova & her son, along with 2 other families, were given the kitchen of the Fountain House, plus 2 other rooms as their homes. The rooms of the entire palace was divided into homes to many poor families
if my local town had a joint with morning cocktails, affordable caviar options, stroganoff and a mountain of sour cream on everything, i would be in such heaven. off to shop for ingredients to make these for myself at home instead. it'll be expensive, particularly the caviar, but it's heaps cheaper than travelling from Australia, and it's winter here so the stroganoff will be super warming. yum yum yum!
They should give theses buildings different paint colors to make them look even better. Why they leave them unpainted? the paint color at 18:16 and 19:27 caught my attention, do you happen to know what is it called? I have seen many different shades of this color of maybe the same used in the USSR or Russia.
Freaking UGLY. The biggest country in the world ever and people don't live in houses. Condos are ok as long as they are not higher than 7 floors with 6 condos per floor the most. The best-looking apts. with the best locations I've seen in RU-vid are in Punta del Este Uruguay.
