At RESTOMOD101, we created this channel to teach you how to do specific restoration and modification to classic cars, hotrods, vintage and new motorcycles, and even projects on old school trucks. Do you want to know how to upgrade to power windows? Or how do you add an aftermarket AC to a classic? Or how much HP will I get by adding Aluminum heads? We got you covered. Our projects are specific. Why? Because thats how most of us have to restore or modify a ride...one project at a time.
Plus we are starting a series of short videos to teach you how to do basic stuff like using fuel stabilizers, or how to properly inflating your tires. Sign up for class by Following Us and then it's time to go school .... WATCH. LEARN. BUILD. RESTOMOD101 is in session!
Thank you Greg! I'm in the process of putting a hood scoop to accommodate my big block in my 75 stingray! Nice to know I'm doing it just the way you explained! Jim merino Frank son! You and Scott worked on my 75 and Pappas 65
I’ve got the weiand x-celarator 625 Barry grant Demon dp 14x3” drop base and only have about 5 or6 mm clearance in my XE. Are you getting the clearance with the spacer because the moroso drop base is lower than most Love the vids great work boys 🤘
I am planning to buy a bike in LAS VEGAS . They usually look almost news BUT are they in good condition to run OR do they tell the buyer if it's in good [or bad] condition to run ???
Hi! Best to look the bike over yourself. Lots of things you can check out without starting. See if you can get in touch with the seller too but don’t wait till the auction day. The bikes are listed on their website prior to the auction days. I always assume the worst and that way can only be pleasantly surprised! We are posting an episode soon that gives tips on looking a bike over. Good luck and please like and subscribe!
IIt's not acid but alkaline. When alkaline batteries have leaked it's hard to remove all the gunk from a device. Acids can be used to neutralize the alkaline. Vinegar works but I'm using vinegar essence diluted to a concentration of about 5%. When the acid reacts with the alkaline, the alkaline will fizz for a short moment. Continue until the fizzing stops. The rinse and dry thoroughly. This does not remove all the chunky bits of alkaline battery goo but it neutralizes it removing its corrossiveness. I've used this numerous times to deal with leaked batteries in all sorts of devices. It failed me only once when a circuit booard ha already virtually ceased to exist before I started. Lesson learnt: remove batteries from devices when you don't use them. And don't ever trust batteries advertised as leak proof. In my experience ALL will leak sooner or later. Be extra paranoid with batteries stored under extreme conditions such as in hot cars.
Worked PERFECTLY with a maglite I got for free because corroded batteries were stuck - Used your method and had it working perfectly in 10 minutes. Thank you so much!
Just finding this because I have this issue. However the top of my flashlight does not screw off… I’ve tried. It’s not the same brand as yours… it’s frustrating me but unless I can screw the top off I think my little tiny flashlight is for the scrap heap.
Your information was PRICELESS!!! But I enjoyed your patient interaction with your boy even more!! The world needs more Dads like you! Keep up the GOOD work!!
So you changed the stock 351M open chamber heads that nobody uses for a very expensive aftermarket set of Edelbrock heads with roller rockers and only gained 25 HP. Seems like a monstrous waste of time of money to me. Maybe just a set of actual closed chamber Cleveland heads and wala the same result. Kinda goofy test it seems to me.
Can't believe this video popped up in my feed! I lost one of those identical flashlights many years ago, and just found it last week. Went to change the batteries, and they were FROZEN. Couldn't get the second battery out, and didn't know how to get the LED out, so I threw it in the garbage. Just pulled it out of the garbage and used the socket trick. Couldn't hammer it out, so I had to go to an arbor press and press it out. I had to get all the crap inside of the light body out with a file because it was so bad. Put it back together and it works! THANK YOU!!! 👍
Nice instructional video and you did a great job. This is a video on how to repair fiberglass, correct? Not an annoying frigging music video, right? That noise is highly distracting and hard to watch you and listen to that crap. You don't need props when you do nice work as you do.
LMAO !!! saving lives 🤣. So my Solitaire Mag won't open where I put my batteries in. I am wondering if the corrosion sealed up the opening and it is a mother to unscrew, I've tried pliers and tapping it. It is really stuck.
Would love to watch an informative video without super loud engine noises and music playing while the person is speaking. I’m not here to be entertained, I’m here to learn about a process
What lol Your phone or TV must suck real bad because I can hear every word he said!!!! It's called a shop that means he has business so go kick rocks!!!!
I have the exact same lite and the original Duracell batteries are stuck in it. Because it was the bottom battery this did not work. Even using a 5lb hammer it did not work at all. I was hitting so hard that the bottom of the lite was getting distorted, those batteries are fused to the walls.
Sucked considering the change to aluminum heads, roller rockers and different cam. Torque was down (!) with only 24 HP increase??? Not worth it or parts weren’t properly matched
