I thought I recognized actor Kenneth MacDonald who played Halloway, one of Mr. Barton's hired guns, as a frequent actor on many of the Three Stooges shorts, where he usually played a gangster or shyster who was out to get the Stooges.

The anthology series this episode came from was called, "Cavalcade of America" (later called "The Dupont Show of the Month") produced by the Dupont company. It wasn't all Westerns, but covered a variety of genres. Thanks for posting. I really enjoy these "forsaken" shows, especially when they unexpectedly show my favorite stars in their earlier career.

Heck; we all had guns around the house for target practice; BB guns, 22's, shotguns, rifles and even a pistol if your Dad had one and NOBODY SHOT ANOTHER KID, NO VIOLENCE! So; what changed?

WOW....I REALLY loved Robert Fuller on LARAMIE AND WAGON TRAIN. He was so believable in all his roles. I just loved to look at him. I still watch LARAMIE AND WAGON TRAIN and I often see him on the GRIT Channel. Robert Fuller is one of my all time FAVORITES from year's ago. On LARAMIE he and Smith complimented each other very well. JESS was fiery and not one to mess with. When he was happy everyone would know it with that BEAUTIFUL SMILE. He looked GREAT in all of his outfits too. I was so happy to catch this special. I am a 77 year old African American Female that REALLY ENJOYED EVERYTHING ROBERT FULLER WAS IN.🤗

Anyone that's never ridden a cutting horse can't know the difference. When riding a cutting horse, you best sit tight in the saddle and be prepared quick changes in direction, or you'll be eating dirt. They are strong fast and beautiful horses, but not be your choice for a casual ride. A good quarter horse trained has a lot of spirt and needs a rider with a lot of spirit.

You say hundreds, then are they all western movies or a mix of several great movies. I pretty much only watch western movies. I am pushing hard to get seventy five this year, so am only interested in the western genre movies. I more or less started in a saddle as a kid packing for the US geological service. I packed over sixty miles back in the hills stocking out posts for the food and blankets needed by surveyors. Kind of sad cause those were fine built buildings, yet they burnt them down cause of liability insurance issues. That was in the late fifties and early sixties. Like I said, grew up setting on a horse leading a pack string, sometimes over sixty horses and packs on most all of them. That was for the Ross dam in upper cascade mountains... washington state, about sixty miles south of canada. I can tell some stories about stuff we packed in and things we went back and packed out. We were still a great country, not confused on who to vote for, now politicians have us scared. I figure the answer is in the bible like the ending of most things

James Warner Bellah wrote a whole series of U.S.Cavalry stories all initially published in the Saturday Evening Post. His main character, featured in the majority of the short stories and two novels was Lt. Flintridge Cohill. Captain Nathan Brittles only appears in two stories.. John Ford turned three of the stories into his famous cavalry trilogy. Fort Apache, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon and Rio Grande. Seperate spins off from his stories, in film, would be Sergeant Rutledge and, by other directors A Thunder of Drums (Command) and The Command. Bellah would also help to pen The Man Who Shot Liberty Vallance. It’s a real pity this series never continued as eight of the other short stories would have also made excellent viewing.. Great casting. Thanks 🥰🇦🇺🇺🇸

That was $5 dollars and .50 cents, not $550 dollars my friends! And believe it or not, these guns did NOT lead to school shootings! Social media did that! Yet, the "woke" crowd "cancelled" toy guns and anything resembling them and decided to keep the very reason we have school mass shootings!

I remember the Christmas my brothers and I got Fanner 50 pistols (2 each!) with the plastic firing bullets and a ton of Greenie Stickem Caps. I think it was around eight years old...that would be 1958 Christmas because I turned 8 in June. Now I'm 74...and I can still remember that holiday.
