Thank you for the video! Have an amazing week! (If I ever go to NYC I would like to spend at least one night at the TWA Hotel at the airport. So evocative!)
There are two versions of Thomas Fransson's Portra, Portra STD and Portra EDR... Do you have both, in what situations do you use each one? Do you think it is necessary to have both in the camera? Good topic for a video. There are very few videos that talk about Canon Picture Styles.
Lovely done video, good to see someone who is not a so called influencer. I bought a Z5 & 24-70 f4 S & it is so much lighter. Have been shooting Fuji for 10 years & prefer the system even though I have been a Nikon guy for 60 years. Enjoy your hobby whatever it is. Thanks from Canada.
“And yes, I spend money on my hobbies.” 😂 - I’m looking between the two, and wondering if the full frame ZC is worth the extra. Thanks for your video (:
I’m going to be perfectly honest and say that I haven’t used my ZF much because it is so heavy to lug around. If portability and weight is a factor for you, go with the ZFC, it’s capable of a lot of things that the ZF can do
@@AmbivertXennial oh yeah? Thank you for your suggestion. As I will be using it for mainly video content, do you feel the “full frame” aspect makes any difference?
@@MoonNewin I don’t think it does tbh, as long as you’ve got a wide enough lens for what you want to capture. I must say though, that the ZF’s subject detection is better than Zfc IMHO. You can tell the difference. But again, it will depend on what you are filming. Right now, I’ve gone back to my Canon M6 mkII for vlogging, which is a 5yr old camera, does the job and is much more portable than my ZF.
@@AmbivertXennial thanks for YMHO. ^^ I’m really having a hard time to decide if it’s worth the extra $$$ 😆 and what is your Nikon ZF doing, looking gorgeous on your shelve, I suppose. 🥲 the aesthetics got me at awe too, TBH. 😂🤦🏻
@@MoonNewin I’m waiting for my Canon M6 to die, then I will replace it with the Zfc, and yes, my ZF is pretty on the shelf, I take it out once in a while to shoot photos
@@AmbivertXennial I am sorry, it I should clarify. I meant, can you use the Apple Watch to control the camera without the pod? I want to know if I could go out without the pod and just have the camera and use my Apple Watch with it. Very cool feature! Thanks for the video.
No I wouldn’t spend 2000 dollars extra for the Zf because I already had a Z5 and my trusty D700. So full frame is covered but I had a number of DX lenses from my D300 so I opted for the black version of the Zfc which I bought used from Japan. I also bought the 24 F1.7 as a walk around lens 35 mm on full frame was always my go to lens. So in DX I have 10-400mm covered which suits me fine. I didn’t realize the Zf was that much bigger and heavier until last week when I was able to compare them side by side. Good review and thanks for sharing your thoughts. I also recently bought a tilt shift adapter so I can use full frame lenses on the DX sensor for more movement. So I’m quite happy with the Zfc being lighter as well so it’s become my main camera. Regards Gerry
@@gerryhardman9060 I’ve gone back to my trusty Canon M6 mkII for portability. An oldie but a goodie. In the aspect of weight, I regret letting my Zfc go…
Thank you for the accessories review, I am thinking about buying the same Smallrig grip and the shoulder strap. Really enjoyed the video, please keep telling about your experience with Nikon ZF. I"ve bought it too recently after selling my good old Nikon D750😢 but it was time to move to a newer system. As for my lenses, I have 40mm 2.0, which is ok, 85mm 1.8s which is superb and I love its sharpness and speed and my old 28mm 1.8G with FTZ adapter.
I am sorry you didn’t enjoy the ice cream. It looked delicious but that is. I use if the flavour is not there! Thank you for the video! The rainbow village looked pretty but a long trip to get there!

Over the top ridiculous complaints. Why have people become so privileged? What happened to being grateful and fortunate to have what so many others don't?
I work hard for the money I spend in these trips, I’m not a travel influencer who gets given free things. If I’m paying hundreds of dollars to stay in a hotel, I would like it to not be stuffy and to be given the choice in temperature. Had I known this about the hotel, I would never have booked it. If you are ok with that for yourself, then I’m happy for you.
My combo for lightweight travel is the M6mkII + 22mm which gives me almost a 35mm focal length, great for street shooting and “landscape” if I stand far enough. Also very inconspicuous, doesn’t scare people away when shooting street.
in my opinion probably still the best camera for traveling light. the EF-M18-150, 11-22 and 32 mm F/1.4 combo is perfect for the purpose. With adapter and L series lenses it becomes a monster! The video side is also discreet and by choosing a neutral profile it produces files that are very workable in post production even if we are not talking about 10 bit; it's really a shame that Canon has decided to discontinue the M series; perhaps not even Canon had understood its potential!
Absolutely! With street photography, it’s very inconspicuous. I have the Nikon Zf and that one is heavy as a brick and I still find myself grabbing my Canon M6 when going for street shoots. I also found some film simulation recipes online that made it even more inspiring and interesting to shoot.
