Beautiful journals! The way you incorporate all of the bright colors is amazing. Thank you for sharing your Ko-Fi link too! I have several of your digitals and am looking forward to seeing the new kits you release.
Thanks Maurice! You could write on the blank pages itself or behind the printed cards itself. The printed cards could also be glued onto the pages to create pockets to slip your entries in. Many also use the pages as backdrops to glue in ephemeral objects such as tickets, photos, etc. I'll try and restart my 'journal with me' series soon but in the meantime, you'll find many amazing junk journal ideas here on yt. Hope this helped a bit 😊
I absolutely love the way you left the journal un-embellished and then included a lot of ephemera for the new owner. I think it takes a lot of restraint not to do more decorating as the maker, but I also think it is very loving and generous to try to pull the new owner in and make it fun for them to use it themselves. I will use your approach in some of my journals for sure. And I also want to say how lovely they are. Really precious!
Thank you Denise! And yes, a lot of restraint but it's good creative exercise. I got to focus a lot on the cover which was loads fun 😆. I noticed many can get overwhelmed by embellished journals so I decided why not create sorta a blank canvas. Have a lovely day ☺️
❤❤❤ This is a beautiful treasure book you so lovingly created! Your passion and excitement is contagious!! I love all your creations. It is magical!!❤❤❤
Thank you so much Luna! I've been looking for this kind of tutorial that shows the use of DI Tea Dye and Walnut Stain. I couldn't find the Vintage Paper one around me so I have to look for other alternatives! Thank you so much for being thorough with it!
Receiving a journal like this as a child would be so exciting. I remember mom letting me thumb through my baby book as a child while I sat on her lap. I wanted to keep it with me so badly. The cheerful greeting cards, memento's taped in with scotch tape, a piece of my hair, I enjoyed it so much. To have an eclectic journal like this would be a dream come true for any child.
