I love living in Oregon, where a small forestry trail is in your neighborhood, a river just a few miles, the coast an hour or two, and even a desert is possible If you’re daring for the drive.
Ah, yes! I thought the town looked familiar from my past trips up and down the coast. I appreciate how they mixed some real places in there: Seattle, Newport, Newberg.. kind of surprised they didn't mention Portland but talked up Seattle (queue Portlandia/Seattle sketches) :D... These days Portland has a bit more grittiness to it than Seattle though, thanks to gentrification :/...
This video inspired me to do the trip myself! It really is such a charming small town, the coast is absolutely beautiful and with so many great nice people too. Now I *really* want to live there some day! <3
I live in bay City OR and am in Garibaldi all the time. I know pretty much everything there is to know about this place and it just is so awesome they made a game about this

Dude imma cry.. i just wish i could move to garibaldi oregon in a snap. Small towns like those are one of my comfort places to live in. Wish max and chloe was there..
Housing can be pretty expensive and the income tax is fairly high. But there is no sales tax and car registration is quite inexpensive. Overall, prices are pretty reasonable out here, but the housing market is definitely booming. If you can move out here, Oregon is a great place to live. I've lived here for over 25 years and as soon as I arrived, it felt like home. The climate is also very similar to Italy with a mild Mediterranean climate, which makes us one of the best wine regions in the world. If you can find a small city, that might be a good compromise between a small town and Portland. Some good choices are Corvallis, Ashland, Eugene, Bend and Hood River. If you're looking to the coast, I highly recommend Newport, Yachats (very small and quiet) and Canon Beach.
i heard this game was based on several places in Oregon. But this is so cool. I want to be a millionaire just so I can hire a bunch of professionals to recreate the life is strange map, every place from chloe's house to the junkyard to blackhell. It would be better than Disney land no doubt
I think I saw Chloe at the gas station. Ok, I am just kidding. Wow! Amazing neighborhood and fantastic video game. I definitely suggest it to everyone...
I've been there so many times and had no idea that it was Girabaldi that Arcadia Bay was based on! I knew it was somewhere in Oregon but didn't think it was a specific place.
