Wow. Very impressive. I had a teary eye when listening to the professor. It suddenly hit me how much work has been put by this man, solely to make our lives better
Thank you Professor. I am especially impressed by the heritage language study as this is a matter of a concern for me personally. I am a linguist and based in UAE and we came across an issue when the main language is English but our kids have no knowledge of their country language - russian. Being a teacher and a linguist i have managed to have them speak our language, but that came through a very huge effort, i had to bring russian books and materials from Russia and hardly anything could be found here. So, this could inspire you for yet another great experiment as the community of russians in UAE is great but the jumber of kids speaking russian is tiny.
that was awesome, thank you very much. I also started to nonice how little use students get from the exercises and started to ignore them. Instead I ask them for their opinion about the events or characters' deeds or their predictions how the stody will continue.
Would Krashen ever agree to debate his theories and hypotheses with someone who disagrees with him? I doubt it because they're full of gaping holes he refuses to ever me6tion. Serious scholars would never make such disparaging remarks about people or things that appear.to contradict their own hypotheses.
Hello I want learn English but i dont no how. I go to class but i can't speak English. Iwant speak English like English speakers and with dr stephen krashen ways but i dont no how. FORGIVE me if i wrote wrong
Thank you, gracias, thankyou... I have an easy (allegedly easy!) reading book in Spanish and I am enjoying wading through it even though I do keep consulting the dictionary... but am looking at the dictionary less now and settling for having the gist of the stories and will be returning to them ... ... got to say it's hard but much more enjoyable than trying to remember lists of words and understand the world of grammar!! next stop comprehensible, enjoyable input...
I have always been strongly influenced by Krashen, he makes a lot of sense and I'm delighted the British Council have brought him back to the front of the ELT world

I am not nearly as experienced or qualified as Dr Stephen Krashen, but can you really correlate 15 minutes of reading with 15 minutes of reading and 55 minutes of exercise. Does the research actually suggest that reading for 70 minutes would equate to greater learning? Furthermore, does that mean that the acquisition of a language is limited by your enjoyment of reading? It would be interesting to hear him play Devil's advocate for a systematic approach.

Virtual classes same as face to face ow really? Then why we used to have the face to face instead of virtual?, in algeria we are supposed to be 15 in each virtual class this is a Huge Number for my case we used to be 13 in face to face classes, I think that most of people are gonna stop until the next term so untill this situation ends
